Worst case scenario for uga (lol) is they lose the no 1 seed. If they lose they get bumped down to 3 or 4 and lose out on choosing their playoff venue.

It would be
1. Michigan
2. Tcu
3. Usc
4. Uga

It would be just like the PC to forgive all the losses except the recency. But they won't do that to UGA.

If LSU had 2 losses and won SEC they would have to get in. I guess UGa could be the 2nd SEC team in but somebody else would be getting screwed in the process, probably USC.

The Tennessee game was/will be UGAs most important game of the year ainec. Very real chance they would be left out if they had lost that game

Mr. November plays:

Ohio St. - 6.5 (1 unit)
SCar +15 (3 units)
SCar +410 (1 unit)
Ga Tech + 36 (1 unit)
UK - 150 (2 units)
Mich St. + 21 (1 unit)
Vandy + 14.5 (1 unit))
Southern Cal - 5.5 (bad line supposedly, early in the week, thought it would go up toward 7, 2 units)

+ 11 units.

Funny I went 10-10 in a pool picking against no line, while destroying the line. Picking yours spots is what it's all about. In fact I've never filled out pools in decades till this year because that ain't my thing. Don't bring me the game. I'll bring you the game.

I'll nominate Michigan's average TD length of 58+ yards as the highest for a team scoring 40 or more points. Too bad they weren't held to a FG on that 3 yarder TD ... the other five averaged 70.

Georgia, in with a loss

Michigan, in if it beats Purdue, out with a loss
TCU, in if it beats Kansas St, out with a loss
USC, in if it beats Utah, out with a loss

OSU
Alabama wait to capitalise on a loss

It doesn’t seem complicated this year and won’t be unless all three in position teams lose.

LL,

There is no scenario in which OSU is ranked ahead of Michigan. Michigan is IN, regardless of result.

USCw is in with a Win and out with a loss.

This leaves just a couple scenarios.

1) TCU wins and in
2) TCU lose, USC win..... 4th spot debate between TCU and OSU
3) TCU lose, USC lose.... 3rd and 4th spots open debate between TCU, OSU, Bama? UTk?

There are no other scenarios at play.

I'm not saying it's 100%, but you're saying it's 0%. I have faith you are smart enough to talk yourself out of that.

It has no impact on the committee so long as they remain undefeated, but after that they're ****ed. I believe committee already made the point in their 1st or second iteration that they just don't think TCU is good enough to get any benefit of the doubt, just like they basically said Michigan's OOC meant they had to go undefeated.

Sheesh, TCU loses their CCG ands gets in. How afraid of Bama are you?
you dont need to go into all that detail. Committee always takes Bama over OSU. resume doesnt matter. theyve done it like 3 times already.

and they probably should bc Ive never seen a team with that much talent waste a game since the Cooper years. its not like they can bounce back.

GA an Mich are in regardless.

TCU and USC are in if they win and out if they lose. no way do they take TCU over OSU or Bama.

but I think if LSU beats GA then they get in over OSU and Bama.

funniest result is TCU And USC lose and the committee takes GA LSU BAMA Mich.

Absolutely no way. LSU was eliminated yesterday. No scenario where a 3 loss team gets in, I don’t care if they beat Georgia by 59, still not happening.

We need a SEC expert to break down the Alabama, LSU (if beat Georgia) and UTk power rankings.

I think if that scenario were to happen (LSU kills Georgia and wins the SEC) the committee takes the easy way out and puts in either 1 loss Ohio State or (maybe) 1 loss TCU. Or both if USC loses.

Alabama will get a ton of credit for how consistently good they are, but this is not their best resume year, not close. And in terms of eyeballs ($$$), Ohio State is about as good as a draw. I think Alabama's best shot is for TCU to win and USC to lose, putting them heads up against Ohio State. Which is not to say they have a good shot, just that it's their best shot.

I'd take lsu over Bama and tosu but skeptical the committee will. Think it's at least possible, though.

dunno about power rankings but in terms of deserving, given wins and losses vs ranked teams, I would go LSU OSU Bama.

Bama proly best by the bookies tho.

Lsu is done. Lol @ this discussion. They are gonna drop to like 17. They lost to a terrible 4 win atm team. Auburn with an interim coach beat them.

You should be glad I cut down on the details!

If it cheers you up, I'm seeing Bama at +2800 to title whereas tOSU is +1400 so the books seem to think 100% you're in pole position while Bama needs those two losses to happen. Golly gee, in our worse case scenario we need two flips to go our way...what are the odds of that?

But since I agree there's a chance the committee looks at this week and calls it "disqualifying", but see almost no chance of anyone leaping over Bama from behind (given the two spots directly behind them lost), I'd have to tell you to take the +2800 before Tuesday, as have I (even though I was already in for +5500 and +1600 just to make the field). The payout won't get better after Tuesday but it sure could get a lot worse.

Non-expert observation: When has the PC ever not

1. sort by losses
2. sort by helmets
