Ucla has a ton of great players coming in including the number two class next year and the other two Balls coming in. IU is a hard place to win at for a blue blood and I honestly don't think Alford is that great of a coach other than recruiting.

I think archie miller is overall a great coach, and I think it's a great hire, but just an FYI he literally never beat UMass on the road. Even when we were mostly terrible. Our record was 4-14 in the a10 this year, we beat st joes twice, lasalle on the road lol. and DAYTON AT HOME. It's probably variance, but just letting ya know.

edit: And that was one of only three ****ing conference losses! Anyways I'm sure it's a good hire, I mainly just find it funny he could never win in the specific arena I attended games for the last 5 years.

So Miller seems to be a great player developer and coach. Will be interesting how he does with recruiting!

Archie flew into Atlanta before getting to the S16 game to watch his brother coach Arizona where he talked to IU. He talked to IU again in San Jose. After Xavier upset Arizona, Archie told his dad he had a shot at the IU job. IT was basically a done deal by Friday morning as his dad said he was laughing at the TV during the day with people talking about Alford going to IU.

Alford's agent reached out to IU back in Feb. His background check didn't go well with the feedback on the Pierce situation and from fans and coaches in the state.

"i didnt want that anyway" is always a popular strategy to save face especially when no one uninvolved actually cares

Never understood while Alford would leave UCLA when the whole Ball family has already committed to going there
03-26-2017 , 01:56 PM
probably to get away from the dad

So two top 3 picks and you need to pickup one scrub is totally worth it.

well of course. I don't know how great of a recruiter he is, UCLA recruits itself. most cali kids don't like to leave the west. getting wilkes out of indiana was a big get though. Alford didn't recruit much to Iowa or New Mexico. LaMelo is ranked 16,16,16,14 by the 4 services I Just looked at, so not sure he is some lock to be a top 3 pick

I've never hoped someone flops in the NBA as much as Lonzo Ball
03-26-2017 , 08:20 PM
well he won't
03-26-2017 , 08:30 PM
I know, but he and his dad piss me off so much.

Steve Alford has practice being passed over by Indiana teams. I think this time will work out well for the team that passed on him as well.

rooting for an all-Carolina championship game. that would be pretty cool.

Kentucky fans sending death threats to Higgins.

Lol at UK Fans. NCAA basically gives them the finger too, Higgins is reffing the final four. Guy is a too involved like a former acc ref but I guess the guy grades out well.
03-29-2017 , 01:20 PM
Sadly predictable
