also just because Duke has been blehhhh recently. Defense is not up to par, and Allen still doesn't look right (whether it's his ankle or his head). This doesn't seem to be a very tough team to me honestly - they have loads of skill and can beat or match nearly any team in the country on that dimension. But they don't do the 'toughness' things - they allow too many offensive rebounds, they allow too much transition stuff, they aren't strong on defense, etc. They're like a boxer who's got big power but is also easy to hit.*

one reason they'll be rubber-legged is b/c k doesn't really play his bench (and that bench has McD's galore) or develop his role players. he leans on the starters for major minutes. results speak for themselves, but if you ever face a potential 4 games in 4 days scenario ... makes it difficult.

i don't see it that way this year. with mason and josh, ku basically has the top 2 players in the game on the court at all times. that's a tough nut to crack.
