Refs in the UVa/MD game are pretty ****ty so far, though I've only been watching since about the 15:00 mark. Maybe they were awesome before that.

Darion Atkins just skied for an attempted block and fell hard on his lower back/hip. It looked horrible. Fortunately, he got up and walked to the bench. Can't imagine he'll be playing again tonight.

Yeah they were not. Missed several calls both ways. Game was on ESPNNews to start.

refs calling even the most minor of contact fouls against uva. like 7 fouls in a row on both ends of the floor. umd isn't even scoring except for foul shots.

Virginia called for 13 fouls in the first half, Maryland just 5.

The worst as far as non-calls were concerned was around the 14:00 mark or so when Virginia got hammered on like three drives in a row and never got a single foul called.

This is getting pretty ridiculous. 6 fouls on Virginia in less than 4 minutes of the 2nd half. Three guys have 3. With Atkins out because of injury and Tobey in foul trouble, Virginia is going to have trouble inside.

EDIT: Five guys with 3 fouls on Virginia with 14:25 left.
