ok, so Maryland peoples...I'm not saying they aren't getting in if they beat Wake, but it's not a lock. If we lose 1-2 bubble spots and teams in front of you win some games then you won't. I think probably 80% if you beat Wake tho.

Damn, Cal is down 13-3. I spent too much of my mojo on WVU.

Mojo transfer, blue and gold, let's go bears

Can UNC lose tomorrow and keep a #1. Looks like Memphis is going to get a #1 unless they give it to 3 BE teams. I guess if MSU rolls they could get it as well.

I think Memphis is as good as anyone, but they really don't have the wins against good teams to get a number 1.

This is accounting for the fact UAB and Houston are in general underrated as well.

I would guess winning by a lot is in general underrated in seeding teams.

Lock IMO.

I feel like (in no particular order) it's UConn, Pitt, UNC, and either Louisville or Memphis right now.

edit: If the tournament started today I could see Memphis getting either a 1 seed, 2 seed, or 3 seed. Always hard to tell how the committee will judge resumes like theirs.

I don't think they deserve one but teams keep falling and it looks like they may get one. I've been a Memphis hater all year long (and I live in Memphis) but noone expected certain teams to free fall opening up spots. I still think Pitt gets a #1, but definitely not #1 overall anymore. Will see what happens with UNC. OU is done as a #1 and I could see them falling to a 3.

My seeds right now would be:

1: Unc/Pitt/Uconn/L-ville
2: Memphis/MSU/Duke or Wake winner / Nova?
3: OU/Kansas / Mizzou if they win the B12 / Wake or Duke loser maybe Pac-10 winner if its Wash or Gonzaga?

Maryland should be in if they beat Wake. Wins over Michigan State and Wake on neutral courts and a win over UNC at Maryland and I think they're good to go.

So is UNLV out now? They have been overrated by bracketologists but I think they're done now with 3 losses to SDSU and a meh resume.

Word at Madison Square Garden is that Pitt guard Levance Fields tried to go after referee Jim Burr in the tunnel after the game!

Their biggest problem is that they probably have to be behind the 4 teams who finished ahead of them in conference now.

Also, it's almost time to root for Arkansas!! Got to root against those bubble teams.

UNC is a 12.5 pt favorite tommorrow. If I were a sports bettor I'd be putting a bunch on VT.

Pretty great day for some bubble teams like Maryland, SDSU, VT, PSU and Florida, New Mexico if they win.

Don't worry, I'm fully expecting a 1st round choke ala last year. I'm sure Arky will shoot 70% from 3. Hey, we got the b2b, so we're just in the helping mood until next year.

Things are oepnign up for Washington to get a 2 seed with a bunch of teams above them falling today. If they can hold their own in the Pac-10 tournament (BIG IF) i think they will be in strong contention for a 2 seed or at least the #1-3seed in the tournament and stay out west with a portland-Glendale route.
