Why I laugh at you all when you act like Duncan is worthless, but you still really want him for some reason.......

When did I ever act like he's worthless? I've made several offers for him. I just understand that at his age/contract, he's not a blue chip asset anymore. He's a high-level producer who will inevitably decline every year from here on out - and neither you nor I know to what extent. So saying, I've already told you that I think he can justify his salary for at least another season or two.

Kidd, btw, is worthless at that salary/contract imo. I advised Clark to release him, but evidently he found a better alternative. Not sure what Clark's rapejob has to do with Duncan's value though.

Wasn't referring to you Alex. Your offers, while not quite what I'm looking for if I decide to move him, are at least reasonable.

Your opinion here is dead wrong. For some teams he's worthless. For you, me or any of the other legit contenders, he still has very sick value, especially since he's now shooting 3's at a respectable rate. Getting 8 rebs from the guard spot, along with lead leading type assist totals and top tier steals is very important. Good FT%, passable 3%, and not nearly enough 2pt attempts to even dent a top tier team with lots of shots taken.

Why trade him then? I really didn't want to as I viewed him as a key head-to-head asset vs. your squad, but ultimately I needed to shed salary more and got a pretty good offer that made it worth reducing my chances vs. you in the playoffs.

You may disagree with my opinion Clark, but you know that it is my legitimate opinion. I told you a month ago that I'd dump Kidd if I were you, and I told you the same thing a day or two before you traded him for massive value.

I know you think he has good value, but he's clearly declined notably since a year or two ago and that decline will continue imo. Yes, he will still produce solid bulk...but not nearly enough to justify a $16M contract.

We can agree to disagree, but if nobody had suffered temporary insanity and offered me a mid-round 09 1st for him, I would have released Kidd rather than kept him. I just couldn't justify retaining a rapidly declining 35-year old PG making $16M when my team is already likely to be around the $120M mark in salary. I'd rather have kept Rashard for that amount (I birded him, an option admittedly not available to you with Kidd).

Of course, this is all moot since you got that windfall from Detroit. Well done, sir.

Major trade consummated last night.

Milwaukee gets
Vince Carter Superstar
Kenyon Martin
Jamario Moon
Darius Songaila

Bethlehem gets
Carlos Boozer
2009 MIL #2 pick
Alonzo Mourning

Basically Boozer for Vince/Kenyon/Moon, Bethlehem achieves its publicly stated goal of getting younger and consolidating their depth, and Milwaukee gets a very significant short term production boost, all with good contracts, in their hopes to win the division from Anchorage and make the playoffs in the ultra competitive West.

Yeah, I think many of us were a little concerned. It would be a shame if you didn't get a chance to prop bet yourself back to even!

At least your roster was easy to input since nothing changed.

Welcome back.

Can I change my team name myself, or is that something THE COMMISH has to do?

Aces, I think a press release, followed by the commish or his lackey making the change is standard protocol.

Oh, Tug, I tried my best to come up with a super awesome nickname for your franchise until you provide one.
