Dwight is extremely hard to like, but he played hard and well last night. He was the only player on the Rox who played with any urgency, and the only player who seemed come out of halftime with any determination. Sure, he got embarrassed on the one rebound against Curry, but the rest of the Rox team got embarrassed on nearly every possession.

People have hated on Dwight for years because they are measuring his performance against his potential, but it's not like his performance sucks.

His personality also sucks.

That rebound against Curry is being blown out of proportion.

There are plenty of occasions where a small guy steals a rebound from a 7 footer but doesn't draw nearly as much attention because the 7 footer isn't dwight and the guy stealing the rebound isn't the super popular MVP and it isn't in a high profile game.

I agree. It's super dumb to pretend like Dwight is not an elite rebounder.

how many times does the little guy come from out of the play to body the 7'er with perfect position out of the play and then out jump him for the ball?

curry raked his arms down and held them for a split second so dwight couldn't jump for the ball. his right foot never leaves the ground.

Rebound was a good play by Curry, although he prob fouled him. Unlucky for Howard because it became symbolic of the Rockets' effort in the game. Tragic honestly because Howard kept fighting. The reality is that this is all on Harden. The based god afforded him the opportunity to pay homage, thereby rectifying his transgressions, and he refused

Warriors are just a much better team than the Rox, thats all. Rox are a pretty historically weak 2 seed that got lucky playing a CP3 damaged Clips and also crushing the WIL, and had a very easy 1st round opponent. The fabled toughness of the West more or less boiled down to only a few teams being legit good to great, and the Rox arent one of them. (Spurs, Clips, Griz, Warriors, but half those teams were injured!)

Rox aren't a historically weak 2 seed. And the West was the toughest it's maybe ever been this year. But it also happened to be the year the Warriors are playing like one of the best teams of all time and blew the 2nd seed out by 11 games in the regular season. They are going to make anybody look bad.

Put basically any of the top 10 West teams excluding GSW in the East this year and they would have won like 10 more games.

Nate Silver has them as the 4th best team ever according to math.

Even though it doesn't mean anything one way or another, I really hate reading stuff like that before they've won anything

If Woyas keep blowing out Rox and then Cavs, their ELO could end up top 3 all time.

Silver only had 95/96 Bulls, 96/97 Bulls and 85/86 Celtics (i think?) ahead of them. Honestly, that sounds pretty reasonable. This team is flat-out destroying the West, and the West is historically great this year.

I really don't think the West is historically great. 7 and 8 seeds are weaker than they have been in years past. 3-6 is strong but 2 is also weak.

I think Year 2 LeBron's Heat crush them pretty easily in a playoff series. As do Kobe/Shaq Lakers and possibly KG Celtics. Cavs might beat them anyway this year.

West would be historically great if all teams were at full strength. Too bad the overwhelming majority are not.

Yea the West isn't historically great this year. It would have been if everyone had been healthy and Rondo hadn't joined it

West was better last year just based on Durant being healthy

If Golden State had a 55-win season instead of 67 the West would look less pathetic in comparison and everyone would be nutting over how tough it is. Instead we have a top 5 team of all time making everybody look silly despite how great the other teams were. If you don't acknowledge how all-time elite the Warriors are this year of course the West will look fraudulent. But this isn't just some regular team beating frauds.
