Reggie Jackson has been incredible for the Clips this series, especially in the clutch

Overall, 30/52, 15/29 from three, 6/6 from the line, 14 to 4 A/To.

basically kept them in game 2 and won them game 5 late, hit so many big shots

I remember when I got lambasted for saying the Porzingis and Conley trades were bad.

Zion Williamson's Family Members Want To See Him On Another Team
JUN 17, 2021 11:48 AM

Certain family members of Zion Williamson want to see him on another team, sources tell The Athletic. The New Orleans Pelicans have missed the playoffs in each of Williamson's first two seasons in the NBA and the team will have a third head coach three years.

Sources from around the league have "pointed to the Pelicans as a heap of dysfunction."

Williamson's family has expressed thinly veiled unhappiness with the Pelicans and there are questions whether those have become his own. Williamson's family members voiced displeasure with Stan Van Gundy, who they thought was too rigid and demanding as head coach. They also felt like the organization did not live up to the standard for a star like Williamson.

Williamson remains focused on basketball and helping the Pelicans win next season.

Williamson was also irritated by the decision to trade J.J. Redick.

--------------------------------------

Zion and JJ Redick have the same agent. Pelicans are really dumb and don't deserve Zion. Watch him take the QO and become an UNRESTRICTED free agent in 2024!

I'm sure he'd love to play alongside his brother RJ and for a REAL coach in THIBS!

Mavs problem isn't porzingis. It's that the rest of the team is absolute crap

Wow, didn't know they had the same agent. That move by Griffin was really stupid. His and Neil Olshey's careers were only possible because they played the media game to perfection. Their actual GM ability is bottom 5 in the league.

All you need to know about David Griffin as a GM is that he cried in a broom closet after the Cavs won in 2016. Not tears of joy but rather because the team’s success was “unsustainable” (they won a title and likely only were stopped from winning at least 1 more by injuries and KD joining a superteam). Imagine having a GM that hates managing a title contender every year. Total bozo.

Instinct says that 2024 is about the time when Thibodeau's traditional use by date expires.

I don’t understand this deal for Horford at all, I might be missing something though.

I don’t get it. Is the kemba contract a lot longer and worse than horford? Is that why they are giving up a first round pick?

From what I can tell they both have two years left and dumping Kemba saves like $10M a year (just comparing Kemba to Horford).

Walker wanted out.

Horford wanted to come back. Contract is partial guaranteed for 2023-24. Possible post-career coaching staff member?

Boston adds a much needed adult to the room.

Moses Brown may be a board banger sleeper. Signed thru 2023-24 at low, low $$$.

This could mark the end of Thompson's Boston stay.

Boston can now run the same big above the break offense with either Horford or Rob Williams on the floor which they can't do with Thompson.

No more 5'10" guards!

I’m really interested to see how OKC/NO use all these picks. They’re at the point where they can’t just keep them, and it kind of feels like them having so many kills their own market value in a way.

eventually you get in a spot where you package them for a star that wants out. i guess they're hoping things lineup where they can get 1 or 2 high picks, those guys become stars and then you finish things off getting a guy through picks and players with expiring.

Unless your Danny Ainge and you just have to have Guerschon Yabusele.

I agree with the tweet: it does appear to be draft Moses Brown at #16 and save $10m in cap space. But maybe Horford will actually play?

Presti is doing a great job but he shuts down healthy players and blatantly tanks and the media doesn't say a word about it. (Although I actually think this was similar to the Danny Green/Horford trade where OKC didn't get as much value as they should have.)
