The Murray Jokic pnr is the most unstoppable play being run right now by the 4 remaining teams.

Lakers are so scared of it that they are willing to allow Jokic to match up against a guard and switch it.

He will never be MVP, he doesn’t try to go bananas until the playoffs. Hell he barely shoots it until January.

Think he’s cementing himself as top 5 though.

Seems like there was some miscommunication between plumbob and Grant. Seems like plumlee should have just chased AD as Lebron didn’t really screen. But he stopped at Lebron and pointed at Grant to get out on AD. Not really on Jokic to come off of the inbounder to contest. But he gave it his all.

They need this kind of pain to fulfill the narrative and to get that scar tissue. Had they lost in the second/first round, they'd just be one of those young teams with a bring future. Now, provided they don't get blown out the next couple games, Joker and Murray cement themselves as bona-fide stars, and imo the calls will start to lean more in their favor.

Might even happen this series.

good job AD for not being afraid and avoiding contested jumpers like lebron does

94% of lebron's shots outside of 10 feet are uncontested, compared to 65-80% for KD, Harden and Kawhi.. so they're taking 3 to 6 times as many contested jumpers (not deferring them to lesser teammates)

there's many possessions against a set defense where an open look is unlikely - it's a statistical fact that lebron defers these possessions to teammates (avoids contested jumpers even in spots where it's likely the best shot available)

AD and Jokic scored 22 points combined over the final 5 minutes. 10 for AD and 12 for Jokic. No other player scored over that time.

Nuggets outshot the Lakers 33-19 from the ft line. I can only assume that the super objective minds of twoplustwo's SE forum correctly attributed this to the league's desire for the series to be 1-1 and nothing else.
