LOL CAVS. Pathetic organization. At least give Lue a victory lap for helping bring one to the land.

Cavs firing their head coach before November is tremendous Gilberting, the post-Lebron Cavs 2.0, with no cap space and no collection of picks, are gonna be a lot of fun. Lue's incompetence was saving the front office from their terrible plan to win 35 games and give Atlanta their pick!

Middleton is a role player, those advanced stats always overrate the role players that rely on stars to make them effective

Don't think this is true. RAPM maybe, but not other metrics.

Also lol @ cavs. what did they expect?

Fly,

You gotta stop worrying about the Cavs winning NBA games

Lueser never deserved to be a head coach. Pretty gross to rob Blatt because Lueser had 0 to do with them actually winning a title.

Middleton so underrated. That guy is an assassin.

Really good game from DMitch. Didn't try to do too much but was very efficient. Rubio was absolutely dealin' and Gobert was dominant being guarded by Mirotic. Mitchell mostly stayed out of their way which is good for him.

This is true, but it tends to properly rate the value of stars who raise your floor but cap your ceiling because of certain deficiencies. Generally role-players who do well via RPM help you maintain a high ceiling even though they would suck as the #1 guy on a team.

The argument as to which is the better player depends on what you value, and I don't think either side can be convinced to change their minds.

I'll admit that Middleton is a better #3/4/5 guy on a championship team than Demar

But do you think Demar can be the #1 or #2 guy on a championship team? I don't think he can, meaning only one of the players in the comp can actually be a champion, imo.

Lowry only has one all-NBA third team. Maybe he can top that this year

Demar is almost at a 50% efg% this year. unfortunately the leagues efficiency has improved more than his, so he still sucks

its not meant to predict future results, only who would win the MVP if the season ended today.

It projects for a whole season, so of course there's going to be funny stuff going on 5 games into a season.

Having said that. Based on the numbers you don't think that Lowry would be an MVP candidate for a 82-0 team averaging 20/10 while shooting 57% from the field and 52% from 3s?
