Bucks have had a lineup of DDV, Delly, Connaughton, Thon, and Sterling Brown essentially all of the fourth quarter and they're still up 30.

Giannis lost his 25 point, 15 board streak because the Wolves are so bad.

Life comes at you fast.

He was instrumental to the 2008 Celtics winning the championship.

Thibodeau led the Celtics to the best rating in several defensive categories in 2007–08,[5] and was a key factor in containing Kobe Bryant during the 2008 Finals.[16]
Very simply, the game has passed him by.

Wolves had 112 FGAs, most in over 30 years in a non-overtime game, still couldn't score 100 points. Team is trash without Andrew Wiggins.

Which rookies have impressed you guys the most thus far? For me Bagley has been a huge surprise & mostly because i didn't know how his game would translate to the current NBA but i feel with his work ethic he's going to be a problem. I'm down on Doncic after being high on his skill & mostly just by being disappointed by him having the whole summer to work on being in better shape and a better 3 point shooter & it looks like he could careless about either. Ayton has been kinda what we expected, Trae looks fine & i haven't even noticed anybody else so far. Thoughts on the rooks thus far?

Trigga Trae has impressed me the most. The way he led his team to come back from down 26 while not having a good shooting game really made an impression on me.

I know I’m on the Trae Hype Train NBA Season Thread 2018-19, but I’m not foolish. I know he had real bust potential. Now I think he has more of what it takes to be a winner at this level. It’ll be very interesting to see what type of team can be built around him going forward.

Doncic shot 46% from 3 in the preseason and is shooting 35% so far in the season.

Did you expect a 19 years old to practice one summer with a deeper 3pt line and become steph curry right away? Doncic been solid offensively if I have anything to worry about it's his defense right now

The only thing I dislike about Luka is he appears to be fat and out of shape. Skill wise he's great

What do you think he weighs now?

Luka’s shooting has been better than expected. Any somewhat open 3 he takes is a good shot in my boook. But he takes some highly contested 3s that brings down his average a little. I agree he could be in a little better shape. But I think some people think he’s in worse shape than he is just because of his body composition. He’s a little thicker than you’d expect so a lot of people think he’s fat and out of shape. He’s still very young and will get more toned over the years. But He’s not in as bad of cardio shape as a lot of people seem to think.

TLDR, DONCIC!!!!!!!

Listed at 218. I’d guess he’s higher than that. Maybe like 225-230?

He's probably 230lbs currently, dude had shed no weight during the summer and it is just concerning. Luka at age 16 was so much faster/quicker than he is now, generally you get quicker and more athletic during these years but he's going backwards. I'm worried that Luka becomes like Paul Pierce, gets fat in the offseason & tries to play himself into shape during every season and then starts to decline by his late 20's due to not taking his diet + workout routine serious.

When i said it didn't look like Luka isn't shooting well from 3 it was at 29%, now it's 35% after 1 game, i guess it's safe to say the sample size is too small but i've just seen him brick so much 3's and shot a bunch of airballs since the start of the season it is abit of a worry for me. He's also shooting under 70% thus far from the ft line, it's early in the season though so let's see how that looks after there's a bigger sample size.

The officiating in the wizards/kings game last night was horrendous. The worst I've seen in any sport recently, and that includes the umps from redsox/astros and the nfl ref who was canned. Phantom fouls and traveling calls, more whistles coming from that game than a construction site next to a strip club. Who calls traveling in the nba anyway? The nits from last night, that's who .

Nemja Bjelica though. Why did the twolves bury this guy on the bench?

When the team showed up to the arena on Friday morning for shootaround, Butler wasn’t there. Eyebrows raised. Shoulders shrugged. And word even quickly reached the Bucks that something was up with their opponent for the night.

About an hour after shootaround had concluded, the Wolves added Butler to the injury report with an illness and said he would be questionable for the game.

More likely that Doncic does real well after a Mavs offseason than him getting fatter, imo.

Rookies

Luka 77- Pretty much as advertised. Love his step back move, gets great separation. His shot looks nice; has a nice little mid-range game and floater. He's playing over 34 mpg which may account for his winded appearance.

Ayton- averaging 16-10 and with 66 TS%. Offensive monster but his awareness on D is low. Definitely feel he will become a better than average defender with time/coaching.

Trae- Thought he was going to be a bust preseason, definitely proven wrong. His passing impressed me the most. Game style is very Curry like, except I haven't noticed if he has any of the Curry elite off-ball skills yet.

Bagley III Much better than I expected. Has elite athleticism and is a force on offense. I see alot of Blake Griffin in him.

Hamidou Diallo OKC Only has played 15mpg but has looked good in the limited action that I saw. Should be a really good defender. Wouldn't surprise me to see him get closer to 25mpg pretty soon. OKC probably isn't the best fit team wise though.

Most Improved

Taurean Prince Scorching hot shooting 49-41-93 on 7.8 3PA. At 6'8 he's a pretty good versatile defender. Just a perfect fit on any team. I'd gamble and take Prince(24) over RoCo(27) for the rest of their careers.

Most Concerning

Kyrie- He's shooting will certainly improve to his career norms but I think its more than just that. Kyrie is an iso scorer at heart and that's just not how the Celtics offense is designed. I think he is going to have a problem if he is not averaging 23+ppg. I wonder if Ainge actually is hoping for a little Kyrie regression this season so he can offer him less than the max. I would love to see the mighty Celtics have locker room drama with Kyrie.

I think Bjelly has to get MIP even if he's not improved, just got away from Thibs.

Kings With BJelly on: 125/111
With BJelly off: 101/122

Maybe he's the MVP instead, idk

I guess it’s a good thing Monte Morris played one game last year or he’d be getting publicity for ROY that’s undeserved due to being older and redshirting.
