Prime Dwight was so damn good. The issues are:

1. Due to the back injury the length of prime was short.

2. It's a large city but a small sports market for the media to care. Kind of how we've been chatting a bit about KL in Toronto not getting the media spotlight as much as others this postseason.

3. When he went to a big market (LAL) he was a let down despite putting up respectable numbers so that was what most people remember from pre-decline Dwight.



You also have to factor in that he came off as really fake and unlikable once he started pushing for Stan to be fired so people also have no reason to view him with rose colored glasses. He was pretty damn sick when he carried that team to the finals though.

It’s true it’s risky but when you’re in the sixers spot I think it’s something you likely have to do. Good enough but due to mistakes like fultz not gonna be good enough or time to wait to find another star through the draft. I have hope both will re-sign, despite being wanted fas they are still in the non premier tier of fa due to age or ability.

I can see how the markets haven’t adjusted yet but I guess they’ll assume raptors will bounce back. They’re gonna need to find significant contributions beyond kawhi and siakam. With that being said, I’m not a huge fan of afternoon weekend games. The first two for the sixers, they’ve looked hung over against the nets.
