Saying LeBron gets all the credit for the comeback is underrating how much credit Kyrie gets. That series made his career. He had a great series but it didn't go unnoticed.

I guess we'll see what happens if he leaves Boston, but any other team he is the best player on will struggle imo. And any team he is the 2nd best player on is probably going to underachieve relative to consensus opinion.

Not really trying to hold his lack of team success at 19-21 against him but we don't have much else non-Bron data to go by obviously.

I think TZ is decidely more pro-Bron than the general public. Kyrie gets a ton of credit for that series, it was the shot heard round the world. Hell half the sports world hates LeBron so propping up Kyrie is basically a prerequisite.

They will sign a max FA (kyrie if durant stays with the warriors, or kawhi) and trade their lottery pick, Ingram, kuzma, ball for Anthony Davis.

Beverly

Hart

Kawhi

LeBron

Davis

Can easily win a championship.
Except not making the playoffs completely takes him out of the GOAT discussion

The only credit I've really seen Kyrie get is for the biggest shot of the series.

Ask a random and no one would mention anything about him other than that. People will just talk about LeBron.

Even the pro-Jordan guys just bring up that shot. I'd be surprised that a random would know the type of numbers he had in the final 3 games (even mj supporter).

Your comment about the MJ crowd bringing up Kyrie is two-sided. As you mentioned the board is pro-LeBron, so downplaying how good Kyrie is also basically a prerequisite.

Gordon Hayward broke his ankle in two and people are shocked that he’s not at the level as he was before the injury.

Eh I’ve seen posts about how Hayward is finished and a poster last page suggested he needs to be more assertive or whatever. Maybe shocked was a poor choice of words but it was always a near certainty that he wasn’t going to be close to the player he was before the injury. I doubt if he’ll ever be 100% but I’d be pretty surprised if he wasn’t substantially better next year.

he had a set back in early 2018 so he didnt even do real basketball stuff til the summer

he will be huge next year running the team as Brad always wanted

that's exactly why he's bad. he doesn't make his teammates better, whines like LeBron when they lose, terrible leader.

He hasn't been relevant in like 5 years.
What he's good at is exactly what the Rockets need. High energy/motor, good P&R skills. He really never needs to do anything on the court beyond what he's capable of. He'd be much worse on a bad team.

I guess...Works both ways, no one is mentioning the fact the Cavs were atrocious in '16-17 when LeBron wasn't on the court either.

I'd say Kyrie Irving was thought very highly of by the basketball universe and not much about how good he was had been in question until the last 1-2 months.

I don’t know. Brad seems to excel with a particular type of team composition but one that is not conducive to winning an NBA championship. That being said there is a massive amount of immaturity on the current roster.

I don’t think anyone is currently without blame.

How about a dual firing party?

The NBA could air it live on TNT as an NBA special.

But yeah Luke gets insta-fired when they miss the playoffs. Thanks Luke, NEXT.

There was a GOAT there.

Edit: also just heard trae on vince’s Podcast. He refers to Atlanta as the ATL so he might be possessed by aliens. He really has been killing it recently.
