Is Malik Beasley the next Klay Thompson?

While I don't love BBref comparisons, it's interesting how he's shot on such high-volume.

He was labeled a shooter out of college and has great elevation and quick-release. The shot is obviously not as pretty as Klay's, but he makes up for at least some of that with his ability to drive and finish. Plus he's not only been elite shooting the 3, but from 2 point jumper areas as well.

Cousins should be getting some love.

After 12 months out he's come back and averaging 25/12/6 per 36 minutes while shooting 49/54/79 in his first 5 games.

And it still doesn't feel like he has his groove back.

Defensively watching him he's been down, but that's to be expected after 12 months off. It's also not really effecting the teams defense (averaging 106.5pp 100 possessions which would rank 6th in the league).

Obviously super early, but good signs.
