daniel theis +50 is pretty strong. just good enough to play through the blowout, just bad enough to keep adding minutes through the blowout

Not bad for a third string center.

He played a lot of minutes because Al Horford and Aron Baynes were out with injury, Guerschon Yabusele sprained his ankle during the game, and Robert Williams was out due to having a newborn to deal with. Arguably, they should have gone with Semi Ojeleye at center to finish the game because an injury to Theis could screw them if Horford is out for more than one game.

I don't think it matters for jack in terms of game outcomes, but Luka seems to have that Bird/Jordan give me the ball get out the way I'm gonna kill them myself mentality people love to watch. On that stepback watch his teammates - they know he's shooting, and they believe it's going in. He's the boss already. Those of us who had the pleasure of watching him play for Madrid have seen that stepback a hundred times already, but it's taken a while for the NBA world to believe it.

Needs to learn to play defense still.

All the love in this thread for Luka is ridiculous. At least let him average more than 20 points in a season before comparing him to Bird/Jordan or Lebron James.

Circled are alleged to be convicted killers Lyle and Eric Menendez. They brutally killed their parents execution style for the inheritance money. The date of this picture was taken between the murder and their arrest. The boys were alleged to have lived it up following their parents murders.

Nothing better than catching a Knacks game after murdering your parents. Great seats too.

I actually don't think he'll be as good as any of those three, and all three had better first years in the NBA, statwise, than Doncic is so far having, but he's close, the league is deeper now, and he's certainly got that boss quality to be the leader of a solid playoff team. Doing so at 19 in only 20 games on a team whose next best player is maybe JJ Barea is impressive.

Luka is awesome because of his fun style of play and he's good for a rookie but his actual production this season is like Brooklyn Paul Pierce let's not go overboard with Bird and Jordan comparisons

Bulls vs Celtics was something last night. Bulls starters scored 0 points in the first quarter. New Bull's coach went into spite-mode proving he was holding players accountable by subbing out the entire starting 5 multiple times in the game. End result = Celtics win by 56 setting the NBA road victory record and handing the Bulls their worse loss in franchise history. Nice strategy lol. Scal was great calling it out.
