Really tough loss for the Jazz. They could miss the playoffs. LMA pushed Gobert's **** in.

His main claim to fame is that he swore extensively at Jeff Hornacek, right?

I mean, Kyle O'Quinn, legendary bar-mitzvah entertainer and all round smiling prankster, did that this very night, so Marcus isn't necessarily that baaaad.

off-topic, but how funny would it be if Hornacek managed to drive off all 4 of the Knicks centers during the course of this season

Dame has become Mr. Untouchable after hiring the refereeing consultant. It's pretty brutal these days...

One thing I do find very weird - but maybe I'm completely missing obvious channels - about the NBA is how hard it is to find reports on all of the games and real-time text commentary.

Being used to (espn)cricinfo for cricket and the BBC - and most European newspapers - for football (soccer) and highlights of [rugb]y, tennis, ... having hoards of slaves locked in dark rooms, typing out descriptions of the key plays every 2/3 minutes .. but pouring their hearts and souls into it, as it is a bona fide route to becoming a real sports journalist .. I find the completely uninformative play-by-play that ESPN and Fox provide and lack of further options disheartening.

Where could I have been reading a description of the Warriors game in real time - or a good report within 10 minutes of the end of the game?

look, so here is the Curry story aorn on ESPN - in a tiny "headlines" box - but not featured on the main NBA-page

Warriors' Stephen Curry leaves with injury to left knee

4:58 AM GMT

  • Chris HaynesESPN Staff Writer

OAKLAND, Calif. -- In his first game back since missing six contests with a right ankle injury, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry left late in the third quarter of Friday night's 106-94 win over the Atlanta Hawks with a left knee injury and did not return.
Sources said Curry suffered an MCL sprain and would undergo an MRI on Saturday.
The incident occurred when teammate JaVale McGee elevated for a block attempt and ended up falling on the left leg of Curry. The two-time NBA MVP immediately begin hopping and then limping in pain.
Golden State coach Steve Kerr pulled Curry from the game promptly. The Warriors head performance therapist, Chelsea Lane, checked on Curry while on the bench as he sat in clear frustration.
Moments later, Curry attempted to exit for the locker room, but he was struggling to do so.
He played in 25 minutes and scored 29 points on 10 of 18 shooting.
Information from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski was used in this report.
"The two-time NBA MVP immediately begin hopping and then limping in pain."

"Moments later, Curry attempted to exit for the locker room, but he was struggling to do so."

:lesigh: really?

Warriors without Curry imo could be upset by anyone in the West (unlikely- but def possible- <85% series equity), and they will be pretty decent dogs to Houston(<30% equity)

He's having an MRI: if it's a full tear- 3-4 months. Sprains- 1-8 weeks depending on severity

Warriors without Curry are, what, slightly better than OKC w/ Durant?

Gut was to say they're about the same, but then there's coaching.

I don't want the Warriors to win either but I want to see them full strength vs Houston. Season is a waste if that series doesn't happen.
