After last night with NYK and this Pacers/Blazers game, I'm not sure the NBA refs are aware of how to properly run a jump ball situation. My lord.

Yolo been better this year but the other two have been doing it for longer so less SSS worries. Few young guys that will pass eventually (KP, Embiid etc.) but aren't there yet.
DDR is the best guard in the East this year, Pope is #2 with a slight edge over Kyrie (statistically, not "whom to build around).

He's probably 5th ish overall

Nearly every catch all stat says differently

http://bkref.com/tiny/xWRnh

Has him covered in:
TS .601 vs .577
PER 24.3 vs 23.4
BPM 5 vs 3.1
RPM 5.41 (4th in league!) vs 2.19 (43rd)

DDR winning WS/48 .202 vs .174

Near identical MPG and USG%

I dunno man I reckon Dipo pretty clearly better than DDR this year.

Dipo is way better than DDR.

DDR is like maybe 5th best guard in the east. Maybe.

I'd rather have YOLOdipo than DDR.

Disclosure: I voted for Dipo in the All Star voting.

Welp, I stand corrected. I had read something about Dipo v. Kyrie as the 2nd guard in the NBA and their conclusion was DDR was the clear #1. Looks like they were wrong.

Same, but I'm also a homer, so whatever

Semi-related, Nurkic is a gigantic whiny *****. Really excited to watch his Tim Duncan act for the next dozen years

Yeah Nurk is the biggest pussy ever. He acts like he takes an incredibly painful blow to the throat every single game.

In my biased opinion there are too many people clinging to their opinions of Derozan from 3 years ago, not realizing just how much he has improved. Hell, his defence is decent this season. Dipo is having a great year, incredible even, but he's not above Demar.

I don't know why you're mentioning improvement, because that's one area that Dipo DEFINITELY has DDR covered in (DDR was clearly the better player last year).

I pasted the player comparison for the two players for this year alone, and the stats tell a clear story of Dipo > DDR this year. Do you have any argument for why the stats are wrong and it's actually the other way round?

People arguing with homers are almost as bad as the homer themselves, you will never convince them so why bother.

Numbers? **** em, I watch this guy play EVERY night and he is clearly better than this other dude who I've seen play twice this year.

Not all homers are like that though. Some have a pretty good understanding of their favorite players' actual value. I am not one of those guys.

Dipo and DDR splitting hairs. Both very impressive this year and a hair better than the reigning mvp

Nah Oladipo is better than Demar by almost any metric. That’s not even a knock on DeMar just how sick Dipo’s been. He’s better than him in nearly every offensive metric and is the better defender by a healthy margin.

DeMar is a very clear all star and having an amazing year though. I feel he is getting credit for his improvement too even amongst his haters.

Per CTG Raps have a +7.7 net rating with DDR on, +6.7 with him off

Dipo is +6.4 with him in, -8.4 with him out

Derozans PER is lower this year than it was last year even though he's improved a ton. Raptors are basically playing in the spurs system this year, which helps the team a lot but hurts derozans stats.

Dirk can still fadeaway now that he can barely walk and can't jump ?

I imagine he would fall if he tried to jump on one feet
