Wasn't Patrick Patterson the RPM darling on the Raptors last year? Goes to show how much that stat means.

Add to that one lucky Bank shot buzzer beater so believers can still believe for a full year

One positive for Fultz right now is that were seeing Ben Simmons is the man at the next level. One of the big negatives against Fultz was how his college team sucked and he couldnt make the ncaa tourneys so hes not that great of a player. Simmons is more proof one elite freshmen doesnt automatically make u a ncaa tourney team these days.

edit-
I mean looking at his stats for the season he didnt even attempt a 3. This is a guy who shot 5 per game at over 40% in college while being the entire focal point of the opposing defense. Clearly he was never right this season.
I agree with you and think that the fultz component of that article is by far the weakest. I do wonder, however, how much of his shooting woes are mental.

Lollll damn. That's hateful.

His body movement/mechanics are super goofy. I don't get how he goes from being wet in college and making everything around the rim to now where he misses everything horribly

He shot fine and like a normal human being in Summer League, he'll get it back and now they're in a good position to take it as slow as they want. Imo we havn't seen Markelle Fultz play any games in the NBA yet, just some guy who has his name.

See "Zaha syndrome"

There's little information to judge Fultz on yet. Obviously ****ing up his shoulder is not great - and that could be a concern going forward depending on how he recovers, But he NBa preformances so far are meaningless.

Carlisle says that Mejri is playing better and with more effort iirc. Having no long term incentive to develop Nerlens probably doesn't help.

Fwiw Mejri does have nice basic advanced stats this year too.

McCollum shooting over 53% from 3 this year (6.2/36). I can't stress how great of a shooter this guy is. He's 1B to Steph and I don't really know who else is there right now.

I’ve always tried to defend him but his offensive game seems to be worse nowadays. I didn’t think that was possible
