nate duncan talked about this recently but i saw it a little last night in limited sample: wiggins is not good at contesting (leading to horrific block and steal rates for someone of his athleticism). there was this one play where jimmy is driving down the lane, i think wiggins was helping not on ball, and instead of either 1. beating him to a spot where he can hurt you (the right way to recover when someone has created a snag in the d) or 2. just getting a body on him by trying to cut him off wiggins just kind of jumped-- if you notice the jump its totally worthless. jimmy is never going to do anything where wiggins is jumping, wiggz is just jumping straight up in the middle of the lane and jimmy coasts by him for a layup.

i'd actually love to go and watch a bunch of film on him, maybe i will one day, but right now it's thin slicing so take that fwiw. i don't doubt his ability to be a good one on one defender when engaged, but 1 on 1 defense is such a small part of the puzzle

Cavs resting all of the big three. Interesting.

Has Staps stopped looking like Lurch from the Addams Family yet?

Sucks if you bought tickets for the game.

I say start the season earlier and try to get rid of as many B2B's as possible.

"Next season's NBA schedule poised to start seven to 10 days earlier... to create additional wiggle room that allows the league's schedule makers to further reduce the number of back-to-backs and four-games-in-five-nights sets on the current schedule."

almost bought a ticket last week

this can't be optimal for resting - Cavs could rest 1/3 and other 2 could absorb the workload without losing much against a mediocre team especially

this way they went from -8 to +7

and the grizzlies continue to run like god in every way

probably be 18-9 with negative point differential after tonight after taking 2/3 from CLE/GS

This play thing is great. Check out the defense from DWade on these two possessions back to back, just awful:

I would be happy if I went to the game and they rested their stars.

then again I'm desperate and my team sucks.

I forget who posted it but someone itt talked about his laziness off the ball on both O & D and it was spot on. With the ball in his or his opponents hand he looks great, he ran the p&r with Towns nicely, set him up and got to wherever he wanted, and on D like I already said looked fantastic manning Butler & sometimes Wade. But when he or the guy he's guarding doesn't have the ball he just stands there worse than anyone I've ever seen. It's his biggest weakness imo.
That was me

Very much agree with this.

I wonder if watching the Lakers lose will ever get old.

Has there ever been anything similar to a big like Gasol starting to shoot 3s at age 31 and being good at it? He was taking like 10 a year, now on pace for about 250 (@44%). Has to be very rare.

Brook Lopez had 3 3p makes in his previous 8 years in the league, 42 makes so far at 37%.

How can you say he's only been okay

His points and rebounds per minute are both extraordinary

ILLGAUSKAS started late in his career from the corner 3 instead of long 2s... He was shooting it well, but washed up in other aspects.

This is now the dunk of the year imo

I'd prob take the VO one just for the way he changed angles mid air, but over the top is sick too obv

Was watching the rockets highlights, so many empty seats. Is it often like that? 7 wins in a row and you're not selling many seats?
12-15-2016 , 09:56 AM
Spurs games have been relatively "empty" this year too. We easily have the worst home crowd for a contender ever and have for a while. Just totally spoiled and its pathetic.
