yeah, that's what i meant. sorry if it was unclear. i would like to see the minutes a little lower overall (2-4 min less per game) and the starters have had to play late in games that should have been over. however, i think it is a problem with the bench overall (minus iggy) rather than a function of overplaying mccaw-- granted clark >> mccaw.

i have a bigger problem with kerr having curry et al playing ~30+ in blowouts. there are prob 4-5 instances of this

I agree with you. I'm generally fine with McCaw getting some minutes, but would keep him on the bench in a situation like yesterday (close game vs a good team).

If Clark can continue to shoot >40% from 3 on 7 attempts/36, I don't see any reason not to give him more minutes.

Wow that's a cool name (playing in french pro league)

Kowabunghole,

Re: nba picks

Ouch. But don't fret, a system that spits out losers is just as valuable as a system that spits out winners.

Bron in 45 minutes last night shot 0 FTs and had 7 turnovers. Cavs surrendered 78 points in the paint last night and lost to a team that made only 3 three pointers.

Hawks 1-8 last nine now 10-10 and out of the playoffs. Coach of the year Bud's vaunted spurs east offense is bottom five in the league.

The game has passed these ball movement teams by, that was so 4 years ago. Raptors way ahead of the curve to the modern day constant ball stopping iso game.

WTF is going on with the Hawks? I know they started the season on fire - haven't caught most of their games, can someone who has chime in?
12-03-2016 , 11:52 AM
it appears mostly lol schroeder and maybe korver being an old
12-03-2016 , 12:50 PM
Their ball movement has been significantly worse. And their turnover rate has skyrocketed. That's a pretty bad combination.

Four of their regular rotation members (Delaney, Howard, Korver, Schroder) have a turnover rate of over 17%.

Anyone else read Pelton's chat yesterday

Did you read Dean Demakis on Andrew Wiggins? While I assume your take is more measured, do you have long-term concerns about his efficiency and defense?

Kevin Pelton (3:49 PM)
Here's the piece: https://deanondraft.com/2016/11/29/a...ins-is-a-bust/

Kevin Pelton (3:51 PM)
I don't particularly like the term "bust," first off. I think Dean puts a bit too much weight on this year's statistics. It was just a few weeks ago where in this same chat I was pushing back on the notion that Wiggins had taken a huge leap forward offensively. It's likely his 2-point percentage will improve the rest of the season, in which case he can be at least as efficient as last year. He's shown the ability to carry an enormous offensive load for a young player with average efficiency, and there's value in that. I also think Dean glossed over Wiggins' strong individual defense.

Kevin Pelton (3:52 PM)
That said, some of the comparisons of Wiggins' year two numbers were eye-opening, and it made me rethink my position on him a little bit. I find myself now in the odd position of being able to argue against Wiggins' performance (as on today's #AskWos TrueHoop podcast, coming soon) and also defend him within the span of a few hours.

Warriors are the best team in the NBA, but the Cavs got hot at the right time last year and the Raptors got cold come ECF time last year and couldn't overcome the difference. This year I think despite the NBA's wishes the Raps will win the East and even the officiating won't be able to change the predetermined result as the Raps are that much better than the Cavs. Warriors will sweep as the NBA will want that as a result though and they are better
12-04-2016 , 03:50 AM
Raps/cavs last longer?
12-04-2016 , 07:50 AM
The Raps have been very impressive this year. Great point differential on probably the toughest schedule in the league, but there's no reason to think that anything will be different if they play the Cavs again. DeMar isnt built for the playoffs with better defenders on him. Casey is playing Lowry more than 37 minutes a game despite him being prone to injuries and wearing down and having the best PG/SG/SF/PF bench combo in the league. Lowry should be put on the Spurs plan. Norm Powell gets a DNP every other game. Lowry should be played 31 minutes a game and him and DDR should join Carroll as guys that fairly regularly sit out B2Bs. Maybe you wait with Lowry till Delon gets back to start resting him, but Joseph and Powell can step up and Fred VanVleet looked like an NBAer to me watching him in preseason. The great bench also wins them a lot of regular season games, but when other teams tighten their rotations in the playoffs some of those wins go away.

I also think they'll miss Biyombo in the playoffs especially vs the Cavs. He was just such a nice foil for JV and his rim protection, mobility and rebounding was very useful. JV wont be able to guard Love and Frye and I dont think Lebron will respect him protecting the rim. And obviously there's still the whole guarding Lebron thing which the Raptors still aren't well equipped to do.

Edit. They probably dont have the toughest schedule in the league anymore. Have had an easy last 5 games to make up for the schedule before that.

Reggie Jackson playing tonight.

Why is Draymond allowed to kick whoever he wants?
12-04-2016 , 02:08 PM
cause he plays with a chip on his shoulder and remembers a name of every player who was drafted in front of him?
12-04-2016 , 02:19 PM
Not sure how you can imply Dray gets no consequences.

He even got suspended for one of the biggest games of the year because a bitchmade loser got barely touched after getting her feelings hurt.

and then the warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the finals. It's funny, but getting suspended once for kicking players every other game might not be enough

Why focus on "kicking"? There are a bunch of players who flop while shooting and flail their legs up to draw fouls. CP3 does it. The clips have a bunch of bitches who flop and do inadvertent ****.
