No I haven't. I never even compared those two. Jokic vs. Staps was argued last year and I argued it both ways, never using hyperbole like "much better prospect".

[edit] loooooooool C-Vig, I'll let you off for $243

but is it safe to say he's just shooting over people and not relying on moves?
is casually dismissive.

to answer your original question ... here's an article from couple of days ago on the subject - http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...ngis-evolution

I'm not sure I agree 100% on the emphasis on just turning and shooting - he is getting inside using moves some of the time. By eye, I'ld say he usually tries to make moves ~a couple of times per possession and then as a third option turns and shoots - ie it's rare he catches the pass to the post and immediately turns and shoots.

If you're starting a team tomorrow are you taking Staps or Embid and how close is it?

Staps pretty easily based on health
11-24-2016 , 12:43 AM
Staps. I don't see how he doesn't play 10-15 years itl. Embiid might be out in 5 based on injuries.

Your recollection sucks then, I had nothing but nice things to say about Staps. Jokic was clearly better over an 82 game sample last year, just as Staps is clearly better this year. You sound really defensive when there is no reason to be. Relax, it's not like your team is run by an imbecile.

Also STAPS by a mile given health.

Wolves will never be a top 29 franchise. I have accepted it.

There was tremendous hope. Flip crushed in 3 straight drafts and built an exciting young thing, but he died.

What do you think Thibs could get if he traded Thibs?

OK in a perfect world where both players are guaranteed healthy for next 10 years. STAPS or Embid?

Someone tell me how KAT is the best young big again please.
11-24-2016 , 12:45 PM
recency bias.

Spoiler:

gotta define young as <22

DD with 9 assists and 2/2 3P last night for those that don't think he's evolving. Also had 21 points in the third to blow it open

Anecdotal evidence building.

I don't hesitate to take Embiid if health is guaranteed. The guy looks like he could be better in a year or two than Staps will ever be

Porzingis is 3 inches taller, longer, and 1.5 years younger fwiw, currently in the Top 20 in RPM and had one of the most effective rookie years by a big man ever.

Thayer likes the foreign borns.

Embiid has a better feel for the game, incredible footwork and protects the rim really well

there's no way kp is 3" taller than embiid, he's probably slightly taller and longer, but embiid would be at least 30lbs heavier

embiid is also 5th all time PER among 6'10+ rookies (kp's rookie yr was 32nd)

nothing against kp but embiid's potential is ultraelite
11-24-2016 , 08:35 PM
Forgot about PER, was going by stuff like whether or not their team is better with them on the court. I agree that Embiid has Staps like potential though
11-24-2016 , 08:37 PM
Lol rpm.
