Want them to run good and win for the Lebron legacy
Also kind of want them to get stomped by warriors pull their heads out of their ass and live up to their potential.

Well you gotta open up a roster spot for offense like that.
04-09-2017 , 06:52 PM
dahntay jones really? GM lebron is really the worst
04-09-2017 , 06:53 PM
You need someone to punch the other team's best player in the nuts if they're playing too well

Westbrook!

rwb has been really great in the clutch this yr after a whole career of being pretty meh. drives home that despite there being some skill involved to an extent, clutch play overall is pretty random
04-09-2017 , 08:08 PM
You know what's not pretty random?

The fact that Durant is no longer on the Thunder.

Oh my god.

I expect we won't hear from Victor for awhile.

The great Dahntay Jones

GM LABRON
04-09-2017 , 08:18 PM
what's a Dahntay Jones?
04-09-2017 , 08:25 PM
i think Harden is the "true" MVP, but I'm for Russ winning it. Never seen an athlete go this HAM.

Has Jones been playing somewhere? (he hasn't in the L this year) Maybe he's just been getting a few up with Larbron and the boys on off days and he's lookin pretty good, some good old man shuffle.

The Cavs are still sweeping the East but this level of play won't work against Golden State unless Kyrie and LeBron go God mode again.

Cavs have a severe case of apathy, as long as they are healthy they make the finals. But can get severely embarrassed in the finals.

You're totally delusional

And the Jones signing means literally nothing. He's not seeing a minute. Nor was liggins. It's obviously a locker room play of some sort though it's still stupid

Lue is clueless about rotations but If derrick Williams and sanders somehow don't play he won't either

Didn't Channing Frye talk about not liking Dahntay Jones on his and Jefferson's pod? Seems like a good signing to get some cohesion in the locker room
04-09-2017 , 08:46 PM
maybe lebron is signing the worst possible players so that Lue doesn't get confused
04-09-2017 , 08:46 PM
Jones probably runs the best poker games on flights or something like that. Maybe it is actually a good signing.

Cavs problem isn't offence, its defence.

They have 130 million $ worth of offensive talent that didn't suddenly forget how to score, they just don't give a damn about defence. A lot of it is lack of natural ability.

As long as you game plan defensively in the playoffs well enough... I don't see anybody in the East that have the offence necessary to expose Cavs out of 7 games.

I'm taking this 2017 Cavs team over LeBron's 2009/2010 roster any day going in the playoffs. Too bad Golden State is even more offensively talented.

Ya, I agree. This is what MJ would've done on a team like this, and with these rules.

Never, since Ricky Davis, has someone been so transparent about going for triple doubles and stats. Because he's on a team whose whole ethos is about exalting Russ as the good guy who didn't leave - no one cares.

Other guy who comes to mind is John Kruk, who quit at the early stages of a season (45 games) once he got the hit that gave him a lifetime average of .300.

A reminder:

A player for the Magic once offended an opposing coach by making a last second shot to give them a triple double also. I want to say it was Donald Royal for some reason, I don't even really know who that is though. Maybe Anthony something...

I'm actually a bit bitter Westbrook will win the MVP over Harden being a 46 win team.

Wins in March and April are more valuable to "what have you done for me lately" voters than wins in other months.

It was Anthony Bowie.

Quote:
Anthony Bowie
In March 1996, Magic guard Anthony Bowie actually called timeout with 2.7 seconds to play and his team leading Detroit by 20 points because he was one assist shy of a triple-double. We’re not sure which coach was the most upset with that decision: Orlando’s Brian Hill, who handed Bowie the clipboard in disgust so Bowie could draw up the final play, or Detroit’s Doug Collins, who waved his players out of the way for Bowie’s masterpiece play and then led them off the floor before the final horn sounded, drawing a $5,000 fine from the NBA.

Final stat line: 20 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists.

eta: that site has some great ones

JaVale McGee
Then-Washington center JaVale McGee (pictured) really wanted his 10th point to get a triple-double. As in, really really wanted that 10th point. McGee made a comedy of errors in the final minutes as he tried desperately to find meaningless point No. 10 in a blowout loss at Chicago. “That was the hardest one point I ever tried to make in my life,” McGee said after the game. When McGee finally scored with 18 seconds left, he received a technical foul for hanging on the rim in celebration. Washington lost the game 98-79.

I don't mind the logic that will lead to RWB getting MVP, just salty that it didn't seem to apply in 2015. Harden clearly deserved it one of those years (but not both) depending on how you view MVP, but is gonna get it 0. [/Homer take]

Harden had the quadruple double today
