And for the other guys, arbitrary minute restrictions are dumb. If it's tied with 5 to go and certain key guys are at the limit, you sit them?

For the long haul of the season, managing fatigue is extremely important. But there's 3 games left, you get a few days off before the playoffs, and you get a less demanding schedule in general during the playoffs.

You're chasing history here. Don't he a slappy.
huh? i am talking about managing fatigue for the game they play the very next day

edit: now i imagine they are thinking more generally than resting for the b2b, but i bet they play heavy min if they find themselves in a tight game vs the spurs on sunday

Yeah, they should do that, but it shouldn't be some pre determined arbitrary limit. It depends on how it goes. Being less fatigued for the Spurs means **** all if you lose this game.

And unless bogut is nursing something, just taking him off the table when you have a rusty Ezeli and then lolAV behind him seems ridic.

Frankly, MEM is bad enough that they can all potentially sit the 4th. So just go into the game with some idea of how you don't want anyone playing crazy minutes, but don't just have guys sit and arbitrary minute limits.

Agree with KC

Bogut sore ribs. Couldn't set a pick last game.

6th man of the year is an lol award anyway because it's so trivia-based, but this article is a reminder that mainstream basketball media still has no idea how basketball works.

hat the ****?

If the eligibility rules are 32 or fewer starts, more games off the bench than starts, and nothing else the obvious winner is Tristan Thompson. He has 31 starts but he might get a start or two down the stretch as the Cavs rest people.

Kanter is the next obvious choice, not Crawford, bad D and all, because he's at least good at some things, but Turner?

Ahead of like Ed Davis or Bismack? wtf.

Pretty gross that one of durant, kawhi and lebron will miss the All NBA First team

All NBA 2nd Team

Chris Paul
James Harden
Kevin Durant
Draymond Green
Deandre Jordan

All NBA 3rd Team

Kyle Lowry
Klay Thompson
Paul George
Lamarcus Aldridge
Karl Towns

really have trouble here between milsap vs lma and dame vs lowry. I dont think its close between Towns and the next center. Towns is much much better than drummond. But drummond will prob get it.

All Rookie Team

Deangelo russell
Devin Booker
Myles Turner
Kristaps Porzingis
Karl Towns

kinda suck that there are so many good centers.

MVP - Curry
DPOY - Kawhi Leonard
6th man - Jamal crawford ( dude should have the award name after him at this point)
Most Improved Player - Cj McCollum
Coach of the Year - terry stotts

fail

Ed Davis and Bismack are both better than Kanter IMO

Yeah if we're sorting by points to vote for sixth man obv Kanter > Crawford. He's underrated in TZ. I'm still not using my imaginary vote on him over Manu/PPat/Iggy/Davis/Bismack but I wouldn't really have a problem with it. Crawford I'd have a problem with because he sucks.

I was watching Suns/Rockets the other night and Eddie Johnson (the Suns color guy) was adamant that Teletovic is sixth man of the year

Yep, they actually called a foul on him when he gave Rubio an Iron Mike Sharpe forearm to the throat trying to protect his ribs.

yeah i've noticed he often seems to give really weak contests at the rim considering his tools - lets guys sneak past him etc

One of his best friends just died.

morey gonna get fired or no?

It's definitely in play

I doubt it. Leslie Alexander likes winning very much though.

wouldn't be surprised if SECRET STATS have Evan Turner as >>> Jamal Crawford. I know raw numbers-wise Jamal outperforms him, but he's a ****ing dumpster-fire and I bet all his lineups suck. Turner, despite, not being very good, fills a specific need that the Celtics really require.

eta: after just posting that, ET has 2 straight nice top-of-the-key pnr plays. First gets all the way to the rack and creates enough space to get an easy layup on Horford. Next draws the defense out of the corner and hits Crowder for an and1 corner 3.

He's averaging 4.5 assists/gm, nearly 8ast/100pos. He's basically the back-up point guard and the only other guy on the team capable of initiating the offense.

I think I got JERGS as my COTY.

evan turner has been playing so well. guy can get a triple double off the bench. hes gaining a lot of confidence in his spots and shooting over 50 percent from three since all star break

at the beginning of the year he was obviously one of the celtics expendable guys, now im wondering how much money they are going to pay him
04-09-2016 , 08:32 PM
Any chance Houston are tanking? I mean in the grand scheme of things it doesn't help them much to make the playoffs.

don't think you need secret stats. he's not great, but Jamal Crawford is legitimately horrible. one of the worst players in the NBA, especially compared to what the casual fan thinks of him.

yeah you right. The eyetest is the only argument I need, geoff!

Hoiberg: "We got off to pretty solid start. Then some things happened. Most of that comes from the 1 comment after the NY game by Jimmy."
