Smart bastard too. Went to Northwestern.

I love guys who are in on the joke. Craig was ALWAYS in on the joke. And he had no qualms being the butt of it.

Just a seemingly great guy.

I remember at the '04 draft or whatever year it was and he asked Casey Jacobsen's date/gf if she had a sister. GOAT

'02 apparently. BS commented on it.

Quote:
9:26 p.m. Phoenix has Boston's pick at No. 22 (thanks to the Rodney Rogers trade), and Dad's a little riled up because Gonzaga's Dan Dickau is still on the board. "I thought he was unstoppable last year," Dad explains. "Gonna make a great pro." Somehow the Suns end up taking another white guy, Casey Jacobsen, whose blonde girlfriend gets the loudest round of applause of the night from the MSG crowd.
"Hey, I didn't know Craig Sager had a brotha!" Barkley exclaims about Casey, who's wearing bowling shoes. Sager uses the opportunity to ask his "brother" if Casey's girlfriend has a younger sister. That was just plain shameless.
(Note to self: Don't ever leave the Sports Gal alone in a room with Craig Sager.)
I remember the place erupted in lols

**** that was almost 14 years ago

eta: the sustained lols were prbly bc of Chuck

Quote:
9:33 p.m. Barkley's finest moment of the night: "Craig Sager is the only guy on television who can't get a date. It's almost impossible to be on TV all the time and not get women."
he used to be funny

Fantastic memory. Thanks for sharing KC.

3Anthony Davis

So clippers traded one player for another, got the worse player, and gave up a first round pick? Amazing.

looks like nichp crushed since he has a bonafide superstar, a very good player, a solid player, an NBA starter, and Anthony Bennett. These other teams literally have like 3 NBA players each.
03-22-2016 , 11:52 PM
wow, i do not remember that draft at ALL

i do remember doing a 3 year draft at some point (of which we're probably coming to the end of the third year right now?) and periodic 5 year ones and i think a full dynasty one
03-22-2016 , 11:54 PM
That was wild as it was supposed to start 5 years from draft day. Would be down for that again even though I bombed it. Kinda forces people to make assumptions and take big risks.

That draft starts 2 years from now. Shows how bad a lot of them would be. Lebron went 2...

meh, we don't revisit these often enough and its even harder to "judge" than they already are. kind of think we should stick with it in order to stop people from doing idiotic things like taking julius randle in the first round

Shots fired. But god forbid people make assumptions about 17 year olds in a 5 year out draft. Guess you had him pegged a la THAY3R mode before he played a year at UK. Everyone's a genius in hindsight. Tell me the #3-7 draft pick players worth building around who haven't played a NBA minute yet and I'll quote you in 4 years

Point of that was to try to project dynasty players at early age. Lebron #2 looks worse than most picks considering you build around him beginning in 2017-2018.
03-22-2016 , 11:59 PM
Fav draft was the one where we all voted and constructed each team collectively

That was involved tho and now would not be the time
03-23-2016 , 12:01 AM
i'd rank the teams:

1. Kyle Lowry Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Gordon Hayward LaMarcus Aldridge Brook Lopez

2. George Hill Wesley Matthews Kevin Durant John Henson Alex Len

3. Kemba Walker Garry Harris LaBron James Cody Zeller Enes Kanter

hell idk, there are a lot of landmines but i guess that's the nature of only 5 of them, can't even hit on some backups or w/e and if you have someone who is out of the league you're nearly DQ'd
03-23-2016 , 12:41 AM
Omg Jordan Farmar playing.

Should the clippers try to slip out of the playoffs?

Besides, professional sports are just reality TV for people who think they're above reality TV. It's just entertainment, and the teams are just trying to make money.
The clippers can win !

it would have been interesting to re-run this each year to see how things change over time until the actual year

we could re-run it now for the 17/18 season for comparison

Kyle Lowry, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Gordon Hayward, LaMarcus Aldridge, Brook Lopez is the best team by a lot.

I love this team though, for actual basketball, not fantasy (I don't know a ton about that) - Reggie Jackson, Eric Gordon, Paul George, Tobias Harris, Nerlens Noel

Noel-Jackson PNR with Gordon, George and Harris to space the floor would be solid I think especially if they could just give it to PG13 if the offense breaks down. Defensively they have some lock down dudes and since the league is going smaller I think it works. Would be fun to watch if nothing else.

I think my Magic love is making me overrate the Fournier team. I feel like Kemba would be who LeBron wishes Kyrie was.
03-23-2016 , 02:00 AM
clippers can win a round yeah

Jeff green, rondo, Afflalo(twice). I think there is a moral of the story somewhere.

eh, i think that team is pretty bad defensively. tobias is getting killed at the 4 presently and gordon/jackson would be among the worst defensive backcourts in the league.
