Eye test guy told me the Hawks were blowing up, players quit on team
02-18-2016 , 01:45 PM
Looks like Orlando must have leaked the Clippers deal just to let the league know just how little they were asking for Frye

Foye likely to Thunder per woj. Advanced discussions happening

i mean.......... pretty sure most gms and reporters thought that too. if they dont resign al horford, they will be making a mistake most likely by not dealing him today

Same premise but Shabazz Napier likely going to Chicago

Honestly if Morey manages to sell high on Howard and manages to get something valuable for Ty the rockets are in a great spot for the upcoming seasons.

Harden making 16M/year, Beverley and Ariza making a combined 13M, Capela on a rookie deal. An attractive FA destination and the cap rising, they could get a good team

That is such a thunder thing to do my god his stats have been awful this year. With Fisher being free of coaching obligations now, would only be half surprised if Presti decided to sign Fisher to a veteran contract

Feels to me like Lawson will be moved and maybe Ariza. Market for Howard doesn't appear to be there

Not a good year for Morey if Howard and Lawson are still on their roster imo.
Getting Dwight and Lawson were still good moves at the time, but I agree that they should trade Dwight too. Lawson is whatever at this point. I doubt they can get rid of him without attaching something.

That Corey Brewer contract though. That was a turd the minute it got signed.

i think celts would take howard for a secound round pick, lee and zeller
02-18-2016 , 01:51 PM
Ariza should be kept imo he's a nice contract you don't find solid 3 & D guys for cheap just like that.

Apparently it's Varejao to POR, Frye to CLE and Magic getting picks. Why would Portland take Varejao's contract?

Orlando gets a second round pick in the Channing Frye deal while Portland gets forward-center Anderson Varejao from Cavs, source said.
i'm assuming this is missing a piece
i know portland wouldn't mind getting slightly worse but taking varejao on for nothing seems really sketchy

Foye has been god awful this year but is playing better and is a good locker-room guy. It will probably be for nothing as TimC is trying to ship his olds (and JJ) to playoff teams. I wouldn't be surprised if they just swap seconds and take Singler.

(celtics, heat, hawks, hornets)

Portland taking on AV's contract for nothing closes the debate on whether or not they were serious about that Kanter offer

HAWKS TRADE: Mack to Jazz for a 2nd round pick. Per woj

Orlando will get Jared Cunningham and a second-round pick from Cleveland, per source. Magic clear even more cap room.

Yeah there's got to be more to this than that, Frye contract was pretty bad and the Varejao contract was worse, how does Orlando end up getting an asset while Portland ends up holding the bag?

Not tough to infer, but Jazz can continue to look for a new home for Trey Burke with insurance in their pockets.

maybe another move coming from utah beat guy

Phil seems to be giving the impression Knicks are not standing pat after all
02-18-2016 , 02:02 PM
HAWKS traded a point guard to Jazz

BOOM

Now all the dominos can begin to fall!
