Everyone gets a ball. Not just the losers.

yea kobe has been playing really well. obv he is old but he is still by far lakers best player. lol lakers. i think he was just trying to see if he could 50 first month by taking ridiculous shots. he has actually played within the flow of the offense a lot

On why he's smiling and laughing during games:

Kobe GOAT

Yeah, that game was ridiculous. Last week everyone was kicking him out of Nazareth. Now they're bowing before him. Last 7 as stated should be what he's supposed to be doing. I'll wait another week or two until the chucker rears again. He's Kobe, this team is going nowhere. Does he want to go out firing or teaching and being a professional, not hurting the team, etc?

Quote me, fully willing to eat crow. But once a Kobe, always a Kobe. Still, the league won't be the same without him. Literally the last of my youth almost (KG and Duncan as well). Besides Woyas, Lakers are must watch TV.

adrian woj has a new podcast called "the vertical". it seems to be about giving insight into nba front offices. has had adam silver and the woyas gm as his 2 guests so far.

woj hinting that kidd could drop coaching and move into nba front office soon.

i don't understand why jabari essentially never shoots 3s, it makes total sense for him to be shooting more of them

Just from my few game sample, it seems as though Phoenix traded away IQ for talent, and they are either struggling or refusing to pick up on Hornaceks principles.

BAZEwatch 2016 update

TS% - USG% - PER - WS/48
Baze16: .587 - 19.3% - 16.3 - .128
DMC16: .482 - 18.6% - 11.4 - .066
DMC15: .603 - 16.9% - 15.9 - .154

I've been really impressed with how well he's plugged into the 3 this year. Shooting over 40% from 3, and playing good defense. He gives you absolutely 0 offensive rebounding, but makes up for some of that by being a pretty good distributor allowing people to get open shots. Obv improving a possession isn't as valuable as getting an additional one, but it's way better than doing neither.

Nothing beats last season's KD commercial during playoffs.

Love when people try to come up with more and more complex schemes for this ("you are actually playing for another team's lottery selection but only games on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday count") when the answer is so simple.
What problem are we solving, again?

Because if you implemented this and Cleveland won the lottery Bill Simmons would have an aneurysm on live TV.

The "other team's pick draft" is still the best idea for general entertainment purposes, but let's be clear, just the regular system works pretty goddamn well. Philly hasn't had a top 2 pick yet! The lottery system is doing exactly what it is supposed to do!

how bad do you have to be to get waived by the SIXERS? lol wroten

Am I the only one who can see philly trading Okafor at some point? This seems a lot like the mcw story to me. Rookie who is looking really good, getting nice bulk numbers but showing very poor advanced stats even for a rookie (ranks dead last in RAPM). Sixers office supposedly sharp enough to recognize that the way the league is going and the horrible fit he makes with Noël this seems like a great spot to get some good assets in return from some lolgm that will just go POINTS AND REBOUNDS. I mean kanter got ****ing maxed and the bucks gave the lakers pick for mcw so why couldn't someone else fall for it. Maybe Portland since they were already trying to have kanter

Seems like a pretty dumb time to shop him considering his value has gotta be close to it's nut low, unless you think he's just hopeless and will be out of basketball soon, which I guess is a possibility.

not a huge fan of okafor by any means, but he's 2 years younger than mcw was as a rookie. mcw also spent much/most of his time on the floor in philly with actual nba players

edit: actually the roster was a lot thinner his 2nd year i guess
