really liked in the latest bs report when hbob mentioned both sportsbook.com and bovada were both **** books and simmons was flabbergasted. also hbob was going pretty hard at the thing about sportvu scrubbing all the ref data which is pretty lol (on the nba's part) but seemed like he went on about it for a beat longer...does hbob think some refs are rigging iyos? seemed like he probably did to me.

wolves starting lineup is like no gimmicks, everybody is their position. rubio is a one since birth, he dribbles and passes, martin is a shooting guard, he shoots and plays guard. wiggins i guess is a 2 or 3, but he is 6'9'', thats a forward. fats is a 4. not a good one, but u wont confuse him for a 5 or a 3. pek is a monster. no confusion. they fit right in there. and at home. they won 3 in a row before losing to atl and somebody before the break. rubio and pek, hurt all year and just getting back get to get their legs together and minds right during the break.

suns otoh came in confused. who are we, what are we trying to do...bledsoe, who is a great athlete isnt a born 1. he is a born tailback. rotations are all weird.

thats gonna one thing i look for, the solid team, either well coached, or been together for years, or no gimmicks vs the confused team.

Granted nba hoops is more physically taxing than tennis, but at least there's hope.
i highly doubt nba is more taxing than tennis. i mean, those guys fall off a cliff at like 27.

The whole point of Hinkie's plan is to get a bunch of shots in a 2-3 year window and then have assets and cap space to build around the best players he drafts

It's to speed it up, yet somehow this meme of 10-year, 20-year rebuild persists in TZ
does tz really actually dislike the sixers and hinkie? i think most agree with his plan. i wouldnt consider trollstoy et al to be a worthwhile voice of tz.

Lemmings gonna lemming.

Did anyone link the hinkie piece from deadspin? The comments go hard.
02-21-2015 , 05:51 AM
So did any of the traded players get burn today?
02-21-2015 , 05:52 AM

you bring this up on a night they score 76 against the jazz? great timing brah
02-21-2015 , 06:59 AM
i don't know how you can watch that 76ers press conference and not feel pity for guys like flip saunders who have to gm in the same league as hinkie.

RAPTORS
02-21-2015 , 09:56 AM
watched game on PVR, Leo Rautins was throwing so much shade at the Hawks lol.

we are going to sweep this crazy 7 game stretch imo.
02-21-2015 , 10:10 AM
also, get well Bosh. damn that sucks man.
02-21-2015 , 10:13 AM
Raptors have beaten the Hawks 3 times this year.

That number ain't no joke.
02-21-2015 , 10:25 AM
I like what the Sixers did.
02-21-2015 , 10:33 AM
^ I do too.

It's amazing how much the "traditional media" doesn't get it. The local NBA guys here on radio/tv were killing them for trading MCW ..... then again all of these guys were anti-tanking the last few years in Toronto as well.

yeah they might be able to make the playoffs if they could travel back in time to 1995.
02-21-2015 , 11:59 AM

02-21-2015 , 12:09 PM

agreed. hometown broadcast was ripping hinkie here for getting rid of KJ and MCW in last night's game. Haters gonna hate i guess.

or just move to the East and stay healthy. they're not close to making noise in the playoffs yet, but watching Wiggins/Bazz/Dieng grow is a lot of fun right now.

last night's game was one of the best defensive performances I've seen(they were almost average!)...I wonder how much of that had to do with "o ****, KG is showing up on Wednesday and I don't want him in my ear all season". Even K-Mart was playing defense last night.
