i like dean and he's a sharp dude, but he has so far been way off on both wiggs and embloat.

regardless, obviously anyone evaluating prospects is going to be right some of the time, however, aside from nurkic and Gordon maybe, i dont think he's been right on anyone really. and i'm not sure how how were rating KJ at this point, but he hasn't looked very good to me thus far either.

btw, basketball players don't just gain 50-60lbs in 6 months just because they're not playing and aren't physically able to do cardio lol. it takes hard goddamn work to put on that kind of weight for athletes. if this doesnt concern you then i don't what would
Who are you?

Embiid being FAT isn't a worry re: work ethic so much as him rehabbing a fragile body overweight

KJ has a higher VORP than Wiggins and nearly the same WS/48, and projects to be an elite defensive prospect in the second round while Wiggz was drafted early without nearly the same defensive stats. For someone that likes Dean, you seem awfully eager to make very tenuous conclusions to claim he's wrong.

The fact is nobody knows the final verdict on Wiggins or Embiid yet. I think Dean would agree that Wiggins looks like he might be better than projected, but I think he would also agree that his assessment of his ceiling hasn't changed. Not to mention saying Embiid is a bust without playing a single game is probably not a conclusion that makes any sense yet.

KJ has looked very good, but he's in PHI--lotta looting in South Philly riots.

Wiggins had displayed elite all-court game. Smart and competitive as well.

i think him routinely skipping workouts is a worry re: work ethic.

and I'll second mikey and say it's pretty hard work for an athlete put on that kind of weight. especially a 19-20 year old.

Woah just saw KJs on-off is +7.2, didn't realize that.

At this point Sixers have a better record than Minnesota.

Also I'm no sports biologist, but I would have thought that it WAS fairly easy for athletes to put on a lot of weight when they are not playing. Hence why so many pro athletes get fat on retirement or are chubby in general (Bennett, Waiters etc). Surely these guys eat a lot to maintain muscle mass and if you're not working out, that can easily just become you're eating a lot?

apparently Tayshaun to the clips is a real thing that might happen. this is awesome.

He might be eating more too, might be depressed after his little brother died.

Yeah, death of a family member is something that messes you up for quite a while.

Add to the frustration of being injured and the soul-crushing depression of living in Philadelphia and you gotta find something to cope.

Also Taco Bell tastes much better than bushmeat.

THE DON would have never let Doc do all this. Lol Ballmer.
01-18-2015 , 06:16 PM
It sickens me that we have a really good GM and are completely irrelevant while Doc is busy destroying a franchise like that.
01-18-2015 , 06:18 PM
Cleveland should probably try to trade Shawn Marion to the Clippers. Might be able to get a first
01-18-2015 , 06:20 PM
Doc probably hates Ted Stepien for ruining his plans of trading away picks until long after he's dead.
01-18-2015 , 06:22 PM
Doodle, not winning a playoff series in six years and spinning in the hamster wheel of mediocrity in perpetuity isn't the sign of a good gm

that's exactly the issue.

doc has got every incentive to build the best team NOW without worrying about clippers future assets.

big contract extensions are earned by winning basketball games now not by building a solid future stacked with assets and flexibility. mind-boggling they let him do these things
