Randerson was horrible on defense last night. He got burned by scrubs like Aminu on several occasions.

Pelicans best move would be to ban Eric Gordon from team facilities since that would at least make Tyreke a little bit useful.

Maybe they can trade Austin Rivers for Jeff Taylor once Taylor's suspension is over.
12-11-2014 , 03:45 PM
It all depends really on who were talking about him guarding. A lot of this is hypothetical since the randy/brow/asik pairing is rarely used, bu basically you want asik near the rim and randy on whoever is the biggest stiff on the other team. That guy is frequently in tue same space you want Asik. You could put Brow on the 3 but do you really want your best offensive player and shotblocker inevitably chasing SFs around on offense? I wouldnt mind seeing more of all of them together because its probably fun to watch but Im not sure how productive it would be.

Tldr: no good options
12-11-2014 , 03:49 PM
One thing I noticed about Randy is that he seems to suck with their bench because he doesn't create on his own very well, and that's sort of the job they've given him on the bench. IMO Randy needs to be in a starting lineup somewhere to be fully utilized, which makes no sense with BROW there.

I wonder if Demps would be willing to do a Randy for Gee/Hickson type deal, perhaps with some cheap sweeteners going from DEN->NO. Gee is not a great SF, but he's at least been serviceable this year. JJ is bad as a starter, but I could see him fitting with two rim protectors like Brow/Asik.

god those pelicans moves... they just make me want to cry.

i don't know if i can be salvaged, i guess if you get GK in there and then you pry some serviceable 3+D piece away (though i'd really settle for just 3+better defense than steve novak) from some team who doesn't want him you might make the playoffs, but christ it's depressing thinking about how quickly AD could have had a team with a contender that was full of assets.

i mean keeping rolo means you don't have to trade for asik, and greivas is probably not even that much worse than jrue holiday. a win or two, sure, but he would have been a nice pass first PG for AD and you probably could have paid him like a backup.

they kept us from seeing nerl and brow together, forever, a modern day twin towers of sorts.

Man im really excited by the thought of kobe being an all star starter and making the haters mad

Rebuilding teams would be interested in giving up a mediocre small forward for those two maybe get a more garbage than Reke contract in return too

Why doesn't randerson play well with brow

I see brow as a center long term, and Asik can become an elite backup big

It's an ideal 3 man big rotation

It makes perfect sense
Asik off the bench

Randerson can play a few minutes a game at SF if the other team has a scrub SF that just stands in the corner
12-11-2014 , 05:33 PM
Also have the randerson/Asik minutes be with the high creation guard lineups
12-11-2014 , 05:41 PM
Asik throws a fit if you play him off the bench. He'll be gone if that's his long term role.

did rondo get fined/suspended for elbowing lance?

edit: didn't realize that was last night. how many games does he get

for those who haven't seen it

Asik off the bench does not go well, and Randerson + Brow doesn't work because at this point they just don't work defensively. My guess is it's because Brow hasn't learned good post-up defense and is still allowing a high percentage on the shots he contests... which is weird since he blocks so many of them.

Also, I think the Miami Heat should just blow it up. They are maybe a top 15 team fully healthy, and that's sort of their ceiling. Their stars are aging, and I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel for them. Seems like they could accelerate their rebuild by shipping out Bosh for some picks and going the tank route.

Your guess is ******ed. It doesn't work because Randerson has been AIDS on defense.

That was the floppiest of flops. I'm not even sure that elbow ever made contact.

Lance Flopenson

and let us never forget

RAnderson to OKC
Jeff Green + Roberson to New Orleans
Perkins + PJIII + $ (from OKC) to Boston

Problem solved

Yeah he put his arm up, then Lance acted like he took an elbow from Jon Jones.

not sure if the callout is more funny or that it's his first practice in 2 weeks. is that common?
