Anyway to clarify the cp3 rondo stuff
Obviously it's obvious, trying to talk to a girl that's an NBA fan

She's not smart or anything (she's a girl )

Just got me thinking optimal way to explain... I went with, there about the same except cp3 can shoot real well and that makes him way better

Meh

Girls aren't that great for sports arguments unless they are an outlier who is a really, really huge fan.

They're better for cooking dinner and giving blowjobs.

the point is that there is strong indication that jordan did not need such motivation to maniacally attempt to fulfill his potential.
this isn't fair, Jordan was the best player in the league a solid 4yrs before his first title, if Pippen never showed and he was stuck losing to good teams because he can't godmode an entire series vs an elite team, who knows how he'd respond in 91/92 or so

Lebron wasn't going to get a Pippen if he stayed in Cleveland(at least for another yr or 2) is it even possible for someone to play better than Lebron did 2yrs ago in the playoffs? that sure seems like fulfilling his potential to me, and it wasn't enough with the cast around him, much like Jordan in 89-90

this is a non sequitor of sorts. to be as specific as i can, i am critical of labron bc he did not improve in this offseason and possibly has regressed.

the rest of my posts should make it more clear of my position. you are arguing points that are ancillary.

My point was that Duncan is an elite defender at the 5, but not the 4 because he has a mismatch pretty often

Jazz 23rd in MAR L25%, 27th in SOS L25%; those rankings should be flipped by Thursday morning.

You know, the Bulls are a lot better than I thought they'd be, only 1 game out of the 2 seed in the East, and that's a season with basically Rose/Deng/(one of Noah or Boozer)/scrub/scrub as their lineup.

Since we're using sports arguments as a metric for smarts, I certainly hope you two know how to cook and give blowjobs....

like who? maybe r.wallace and rashard to name a select few.
Duncan has handled plenty of 4's throught the past 5 seasons. even C.Wilcox.

Hey Jerry Sloan, the lineup shuffle to try is CJ starting over Raja, see bbv.com for details.

OMG WHO SCORES OFF THE BENCH

Maybe the question should be who helps hold the lead off the bench ducy?

Someone on a Jazz board suggested starting Memo with AJ at the 4, then bring Sap off the bench. Teams been running their bigs straight at Sap at the start; couldn't hurt to try I guess.

True story: Walked into bar last night, block away from a network local affiliate studio. Bartender buddy goes, "Where were you, they came in looking for people to comment on Jazz recent slide." Guess nobody wanted to go on camera.

Liter of PBR, 3 shots of Jameson, 3 bottles of Bitburger, $19 + $7 tip.

Mom cooked this for dinner tonight, it was great: http://www.lhj.com/recipe/chicken/easy-chicken-biryani/ Auld mare's still got it.

+/- combined PD for Jazz v LOL/Spurs, -30?

That wasn't really my point. Most girls I know don't care about sports enough such that it's socially smart to get into any sort of debate with them. I actually really enjoy talking with sports with normal guys who are sports fans, even if their opinions suck.

But your line was still pretty good.

IN all fairness, it's the same problem that the Wolves or Nets had last year. (To a much lesser degree, obviously) It's not that the Jazz are not playing their most productive players - it's that we simply don't have 5 good players. We have 3.5.

Raja/CJ/Hayward... They all suck. Doesn't matter who occupies the 2 hole.

The laughable thing is CJ's chucking is a positive for the 2nd unit only because it's an Iversonian effect: When you surround him with Price, Watson (2 positive defenders, AWFUL offenders) and Elson, Fes (2 more positive defenders, AWFUL offenders) he flourishes, since the low quality shots are good shots in that context.

The 2nd unit has been good. He (meaning Sloan) really shouldn't mess with a good thing.

Yeah, that's not any better. Memo and Big Al are 2 of the least mobile bigs. Neither provides much help defense. Millsap is the best player of those 3... The idea should be to give him the most minutes. Again though, it wont matter: Memo is in a serious shooting rut, (simply has been missing shots) and until he starts hitting them, he's a negative player. All his value comes from offense, and if he's hitting 3s, he'd be an ideal fit on the 2nd unit.

Damn, that's kinda cool.

How so cheap? Seriously, how? That would be... At least 32 here.

Has everyone already forgotten about Lebron's elbow? The lefthanded FT? The twitter acct "lebronselbow?"

I mean that guy plays through some painnnnnnn
01-24-2011 , 04:23 AM
Did the Knicks have money to sign two max FA's this past off-season? If so I think they'd be pretty good if one LeBron King Mutha effing James was playing there.

If not please disregard this post.

I'm pretty sure they had more cap room than any team. This was before Miami cleared the books ofc

Wow, Chris Wilcox's name actually came up itt? Jetto going through his archives of under achieving players, and saying TD matched up w/ them?

Funny thing is, I thought CDubb would be good coming out of Maryland. He had some great athleticism. But a very low iq, and a not so good work ehtic.

Yeah Wilcox was almost a Hornet two years ago when we were shopping Tyson Chandler. It was going to be Tyson for him and like Joe Smith I think before Jeff Bower somehow got Okafor for him. Thank God.

Geez, how fortunate. I never realized that.
