Only chick to pull off a dixie cut was Natalie Portman. Portman was still a strong 3 even w/ no hair, it was truly amazing.

Natalie's dark brown eyes are very strong and give off a good presence even with short hair.

Only reason she cut it all off is because she wasn't allowed to cut her hair for all those years due to her contract with Harry Potter. Sort of a rebellion, taking back her hair, impulsive kind of maneuver.

missed this discussion but even if curry was turning it over more the offense was better when he was the one w/ball (and simply when he was on the court). i don't doubt that a larger % of curry's possessions ended in turnovers-- turnovers happens when you pass the ball -- but i think the the stats and eye-test support the notion that the offense was much better when he was in the game and dictating what happened on offense

curry is a skilled offensive player, and i was on board w/the "someone has to shoot" defense for monta until about halfway through the year when it became undeniable that curry was a capable playmaker not just a spotup shooter. so yeah, someone had to shoot, curry is not as capable a creator as monta so it's fine if he takes more shots, but no one really needed to shoot the way monta shot. curry's presence meant that there was no need for monta to take a 20 footer simply for the sake of making sure a shot went up (to simplify the matter). if he's pushing the ball every time and getting high % shots ok, but lazy pullups don't help the cause and weren't necessary a lot of the time


edit: and he was playing very heavy minutes and being overworked, which was all the more reason to shoot less

the outside looking in for the east is tor, det, cha, was, njn, mil, phi. Hollinger's playoff odds actually rate milwaukee, despite the low win-loss, as a strong favorite to make it. nyk, despite the win streak, sits at a not so great shot.

for the west, phx, mem, hou, and gsw are the fringe teams. hollinger gives these team as a very outside shot already, despite being close in wins and losses.

personally, i think the west is set. phx mem hou and gsw are NOT making the playoffs. i have no trouble saying the best teams in the west - nay, the best teams in the league (sas, lal, uta) are going to win their divisions. noh/dal make up a strong 2nd tier, and will be a good 4/5 matchup. den, okc, por will be 1st round fodder, ldo. you can quote me on thsi later.

in the east, well, what a story it would be if toronto made the playoffs. imo not happening, obviously, but indiana looks like a true playoff team. so who is the last fringe team?? charlotte, i guess, maybe new york. i dont know they're all awful

sadly cavs arent gonna playoff. have had a disgustingly easy schedule but are still well below .500 with an atrocious pd.
