In bball news, jazz waived ryan thompson, sundiata gaines, othyus jeffers, and another dude.

Ryan thompson was an undrafted fa that sloan liked a lot. Jeffers is an nbdl hero who played very well in garbage time last year; dude can play. Unfortunately, won't be playing w the jazz. With price AND watson backing up deron, gaines become totally dispensable. Unfortunately, since I liked him-really hope he sticks w a team.

The cuts make sense, just unclear how many players we have now. Sucks that a guy like elson is taking up a spot-mainly bc of okurs injury we needed another big.

Fes, big al, okur, millsap, elson are our bigs

Hayward, ak, cj miles, ra raja bell our wings

Deron, ronnie, earl the points.

That's 12. Who am I missing??

whoever comes in for AK once he gets injured

13th guy is jeremy evans, iirc 2nd round draft choice. Okur will start on the inactive list, so that's our 12. Not a particularly deep team. Leaves 2 spots open, wouldn't mind keeping othyus jeffers around.

Maybe we'll trade for chris paul, and move deron to the wing?

God, I hope that's not it. I had a multi-year break from 2+2 posting shortly after that ill-fated bit of prognostication. Takes a lot of energy to harbor hatred for that long.

I thought that when it was signed. He's clearly worth it now, and is probably one of CLE's best assets at this point - a point I acknowledged quite a while ago.

Sarcasm doesn't come through on the internets very well. In my case, this is problematic since sarcasm is one of my few redeeming features.

i realize that that there is a very good chance this is a clever backhand compliment but in this post lebron era i have decided to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2UP86bciVA (always look on the bright side of life) and would very much hope that irishhand would engage me in nba dialogue going forward.

to be clear, i pledge to proceed without acerbicity or sarcasm and instead genuineness.

i suggest all the high volume posters in this thread buy a realforce topre keyboard.

it's the most amazing keyboard i've ever used and well worth the $240 price tag. well worth it. it's like typing on a clay tablet!
10-25-2010 , 06:04 AM
i paid $4 for my keyboard, all the letters rubbed off so that's how i learnt to touch type

cheapness pays imo

damn someone just dropped greg oden in my fantasy league, when's he gonna be back?

hmm just looked it up, this is not a good sign: oden's knee swells up after workout (oct 12)

How do you guys feel about your wing rotation this year? Seems like a lot of uncertainty after losing Kover, Matthews, and Brewer. Plus AK47 will probably play some PF minutes until Okur gets back, right? So you're basically gonna fill ~70 minutes with Miles, Bell, and Hayward?

They had 53 wins last year(and 55 pythagorean wins), but I have a tough time seeing how they'll be better than last year and plenty of teams in the West have gotten better(New Orleans with CP3 healthy, OKC a year older, Portland if they finally get healthy by the end of the year, Houston with Yao healthy, Memphis looking good in preseason, Sactown improved with Cousins, Clips adding Griffin). The West is so deep with quality teams this year that some good teams are gonna have to be on the outside looking in come playoff time, and that would concern me a bit if I were a Jazz fan since they don't seem to have improved in any clear way since last year.
