Yeah he and BF are unbearable, arguably worse than me.

1) The goal of an NBA franchise isn't to win a title

2) You're way underrating their market, Denver is pretty cool

3) lol strawmans

4) lol knicks

The Nuggets are in much better shape than they were 6 months ago, they will regularly be in the playoffs for a long time. Criticizing them for not being able to win the title is just lol dumb, not to mention they're now an exciting team. Don't even get me started on Gallo

SHOTS FIRED!

Serious question, Thayer, you've been, well, mad for a while, what gives?

the only claims I made:

Nuggs raped the trade, but got lucky. *Melo is not a great player, but
the hype around him is. *With the nugs current construction, his
skillset is redundant. *With the knicks current construction its even
more true, however their lolcasualfanbase was calling for it.

Their troubles are NOT on Dantoni. *He's not the reason melo and amare
are jogging back on defense ffs.

Melo/amare=gallo/nene

BF sad, not mad. *He's stuck with those guys and only dwight can
possibly save them. *If only they had the money to sign another
max.
This is some pretty weak hand waving considering you were defending the trade from NY's perspective to Knicks fans that didn't like the trade:

of expensive role players isn't going to get it done.

The Nuggets held all the cards, and I'm quite sure they were aware of
this.

Maybe it's backlash from finally having a decent team, only to see it
get worse with the hopes of becoming great.

And where is BFitchface?

Let's not get carried away. It would be a pretty ironic thing to argue about though.

No David Lee and Gallo for starters. No P.O.T. for awhile. When I'm MAD it usually means I'm in a good mood actually, if you see me not posting for awhile or acting gloomy that's when you should be worried.

The levels of self awareness would go off the charts if people started debating how bad they were.

did they not win? were they not title contenders (which was my original point)? you can make all the excuses you want, for why you think they didn't deserve it, i dont care. also, my broader point was that, IMO, too much emphasis is being put on superstars that can score. nice posting tho, love the contributions

F60 - that was before melo showed his true colors. If you go back and read my posts from a week ago, I was pretty clear about changing my tune. I've since come to the conclusion that the Knicks got hosed. Yes they should have made the deal at the time, but its only taken a month to realize that it was a bad move. Ill admit to that mistake.

Nuggs got very lucky, obviously.
03-24-2011 , 02:39 PM
god the knicks are so frustrating

their offense just has no flow to it anymore, they lost 3 outside threats, amare has become a jump-shooter, chauncy just chucks

melo the only one who can work in that type of offense

dont get me started on their D or rebounding
03-24-2011 , 02:41 PM
it was a good deal for the knicks, they are only preforming very slightly worse with melo than without and this is with having to learn new teammates/chemistry on the fly.

they also now have a much better chance of signing another superstar (cp3, hgh, deron etc) and won't hand out overpriced/dumb contracts to guys like gallo/wilson chandler. it probably set them slightly back record wise this year (while almost for sure improving their merchandise/ticket sales etc) but sets them up much better for the future.

Everything I've read would make me pretty surprised if the Knicks were able to sign another max with the new CBA
