I said Battier can play the 2 for CHI and he would do a good job. it might be a bold statement but its an NBA statement. which are sports statements you rarely post. Except in your mich thread or whatever.

Im with Jetto on this one, Battier would be a pretty awesome fit for the Bulls at the 2. He's quick and athletic enough. His steal, block, rebounding, and foul rates have not declined.

Battier can definitely guard Joe Johnson but the rest of the list is pretty accurate. As for Bucketz, there is no guarding him, he'll either make or miss and he'll usually miss except when he's hot in which case he'll be goat once in a while.

doenst battier have a history of guarding kobe that great article on him a little while back? kobe doesnt go to the basket nearly as much lately at least from watching him the last few games havent seen him drive one time but anyways think battier could guard him but havent seen battier play in a long time

as to the other posters who actually gave a reason about battier a no go at the 2.

I ll watch him more this season and in the playoffs since MEM will be playing come mid april.

But I am having a tough swallowing that he would be a minus for CHI at that spot. yes he is older but I still think he wont get off the dribble as easily as some of you may think. he may struggle getting around screens at his age but in the half court defensive setting. I still think he is above average and an upgrade form bogans if he can make the 3pt shot as consistently as I think he can. if you are forman and battier is an available option. would you go for the upgrade? I bet some of you may consider it and would give the go ahead

And I agree with him. Battier would be a great fit on the bulls. Maybe not their ideal fit (it'd be nice having another solid offensive option), but give Bogans/Brewers minutes to Battier, that's nice.

FWIW I agree he would be better than Bogans who is turrible, I was arguing against Batter being an effective 2 overall at this point which I thought was what he said at first? Mebbe not.
