I think it's pretty obvious that LeBron only switching numbers to copy Black Mamba.

Just read about the story and came here to post exactly this.

This is nothing more than an attempt to get the millions of people who own #23 Lebron jerseys to purchase new jerseys.

Obvious to anyone.

The trend of moron sportswriters writing "GEE LEBRON SHOULD GO TO SOME TEAM WITH A SUPERSTAR ON IT SO HE CAN WILL A TITLE WHICH HE LDO CAN'T WITH HIS PATHETIC 66 WIN TEAM NOW" columns will likely result in a multistate shooting spree from me before the end of the season.

Cavs fans really enjoying ever single minute of Lebrons' last season in Cleveland. Can't really blame them......

Say Wade averages 34 points, 7 rebs and 6 assists and LeBron averages 30 points, 5.5 rebs and 5 assists. Is there any chance that Wade would be more in demand then LeBron?

Both will make exactly the same maney. Also, Labron is younger and healthier and better, so he'll be more in demand than De-why-ane Wade.

Anything is possible in the NBA with some of the atrocious GM's out there, but imo there is no way anyone is more sought after than Labron. Its a fantasy notion that Labron would sign for under the max, so I don't see anyway anyone gets paid more than him.

I mean sure there is always a chance but wade would have to have a much better year than lebron do to being currently worse/older/less durable

Also, if he kept playing like that he could be shut down much easier trying to play the post vs the elite teams. And if they tried to change back to him playing mainly perimeter then they would be rusty at running their offense that way.

It is just likely that the media is highly over exaggerating how much he is playing in the post which is the part that is making my argument look dumb.
I'm pretty sure those jumpshot numbers posted include a lot stuff the comes from his post moves. Little 8-footers and stuff that are basically layups for him. The 60-70% range is about right. Watch the Lakers play. All Kobe does now is run straight to the block and start asking for the ball.

You seem to think they're going to run into some defense that will prevent him from doing this. Who and how?

Dr. J dunk on M. Cooper
Starks on 'Da Bulls
Kevin Johnson over Hakeem?
Tom Chambers over whoever (where he just kept going up up up)

that's 4 but i'm far from an NBA geek.

oh yeah, Vince Carter over that dude the Knicks drafted
Every time there is a particularly dirty dunk we have this discussion, and every time this dunk gets overlooked:

Can we send the Timberwolves, Grizzlies, Nets, and Knicks home for the season? It's pretty sad when you're practically eliminated from finishing 8th or better out of 15 one tenth of the way through the season.
