idk if anyone expected deng to become a superstar, but even if they did deng's year <<< roy's year. '06-07 deng's ts% was .56 on 22% usg, roy's .573 on 27.4% usg so roy was more efficient at much higher usage. add in the fact that roy is far superior in terms of creation and is a much better passer and it's not an apt comparison
edit: it's always a crapshoot wrt whether a player is going to improve, especially when they are already very good, but it seems evident that roy's skill set makes it a reasonable expectation. he's demonstrated the ability to be efficient at high usage, he can create, and he is still pretty young
