He played several minutes at center this game as well. Odumb and Pryzstupid need to stop fouling people!
Yeah, this has definitely been one of the teams biggest problems.

Also I owe an apology to I think mjw. Afflalo does appear to be a pretty massive upgrade to Dahntay Jones.

yeah its a huge problem for the team since both play a huge role in the teams defense. Last season Przybilla did a great job of staying out of foul trouble, probably because he knew Oden wasn't really there, but this season both are just blowing it. When they both are in foul trouble they both play tentatively, or even worse, neither plays so we are left putting LMA at the 5.

Again, you donkeys are missing the point. The year deng averaged 19/9 and shot 50 something % from the field, people were like "zomg he's gonna be a superstar in the next year or two, zomg"-- this is just like roy, except that roy is not considered a superstar and has not reached that level yet. I don't giv ea **** what his stats are-- he's not ever going to be a top 5 player or on the same level as lebron/wade/kobe/duncan/garnett ,etc.

dschm, stfu, no one ever thought Deng was top 10 material, yet people consider Roy in that tier. Seriously, your comparison is stupid, just stop.

Argue all you want about Roy never being a top five player but why the **** bring Deng into your argument?

Chicago fans thought he was the most untouchable player on the planet. Pre-08 when there was talk about Kobe possibly being traded to Chicago fans were like "zomg only if it doesn't involve Deng!"

I don't remember all the details, but did it involve Kobe being like a one-year rental or something? I can't actually picture that happening.

idk if anyone expected deng to become a superstar, but even if they did deng's year <<< roy's year. '06-07 deng's ts% was .56 on 22% usg, roy's .573 on 27.4% usg so roy was more efficient at much higher usage. add in the fact that roy is far superior in terms of creation and is a much better passer and it's not an apt comparison

edit: it's always a crapshoot wrt whether a player is going to improve, especially when they are already very good, but it seems evident that roy's skill set makes it a reasonable expectation. he's demonstrated the ability to be efficient at high usage, he can create, and he is still pretty young

At least I get some defense here........blazer fans getting their goddamn panties in a bunch when I say roy isn't a superstar. Cry me a ****ing river. I never said deng is a comparable talent, roy is far better, but obv none of the blazer fans actually read what I said.

Sorry greg oden is a foulbox and you guys are all pissy today. Prob shoulda waited until your team was at least .500 to talk about how Roy != superstar. My bad.

Wat.........you're not even a blazer fan so I don't get your lack of reading comprehension. I never said Deng is a comparable talent to Roy, I said they are in similar situations-- Deng, during that particular year, was thought to go on to become a zomg top player superstar, but he never did, Roy is closer to that verge but I don't think he'll get over the hump.
