I'm not saying grind him out there for 42 minutes every night. But if he's healthy enough to play 32 per I think you're doing more harm than good by not letting him

yeah true. If he's healthy and not foulboxing I want 30+ from him. I've never really looked at the figures, but I want to think Camby has a decent 12-14 footer from the baseline or so, so hopefully he can give LMA a rest and also Oden a rest.

as in leave him on the court until he fouls out? you'd at least like the option of putting him in late in a game. he shouldn't be playing 32mpg either w/his injury history so keep camby at ~30mpg and oden at ~25. pryzkilla or cojh or whoever can fill in the rest

edit: oden should prob also get the old man treatment and sit b2b's or a few games against bad teams during road trips

oh snap, forgot about COJH (my bad JH, CO). Yeah I have to say that I really like our front court, assuming Oden is healthy.

Oden, LMA, Camby, COJH, and Pendy (Pryz is sadly done tbh)

My 27 mpg estimate for Oden next year is based 100% on him being a foul magnet and 0% on him getting injured.

I'd be surprised if you ever saw Przybilla take the floor in a Portland uni again. He won't be ready to go by the All-star break and by that time, he'll be known as the Joel Przybilla Expiring Contract and be shipped out anyway (unless Oden or Camby go down with a long-term injury before the trade deadline).

Unfortunately, Dante and Pendergraph get squeezed out but eh, I'd rather win a championship than cultivate marginal rookie talent.

kbfc strikes me as a good hearted, sarcastic a.sshole (when he's being a dick, that is). My friends would definitely describe me the same way so I approve.

worth quoting again.

the best part is i didn't know what you were you doing at first, so i started off reading it normally. but about 4 sentences in i started subconsciously reading it in a bill walton voice. i paused for a moment while i contemplated what just happened, and went back and read the whole thing again in the proper voice. beautiful.

has no one created a bill walton gimmick yet? if it's done half as well as bill simmons, it could be very good.

i was kind of joking before, but what do you guys think about a line up of Oden/Camby/LMA/Roy/Miller ? could LMA guard big wings?

I think that'd work fine, if LMA gets blown by there's still Oden and Camby and the offensive mismatch is pretty ridiculous with LMA vs wings.

Yeah, encouraging LMA to play the wing more is an awesome idea.

The problem with that lineup is that teams just have a wing basket hang and then dunk on Andre Miller 15 times a game.

The problem with that lineup is on the offensive end imo. Defensively it looks fine.

I can easily see lineups next year where Oden, Camby, and LMA are all on the court at the same time, but I don't want it as a starting lineup since there aren't any real shooters on that team. Too easy to sink on Oden and double him with that group, plus it clogs the lane a bit more so it could stifle Roy and Miller from driving.
