In response to this gem. CO, bulls announcers

"The ball didn't go in the basket the same," Wade said when asked about the second half, when he shot 3-11. "I ain't giving Charlotte no credit if that's what you're looking for."

...

"He can say whatever he wants to say," said Charlotte's Gerald Wallace, who grabbed 17 rebounds. "We're over here as a team, we know what we did. He says he doesn't credit us. He had what, 17 in the first half? How many did he have in the second half?"

didn't see the game but the bobcat's forte is forcing turnovers, not low shooting %'s though idk how they are against wings specifically

edit: not that they're bad in that regard, but a good bit worse relative to the other top defensive squads

I mean, I know it was the clips at home (tonight) but Orlando looks ****ing good lately, especially with VC starting to round into form. Is it really gonna be considered a luckbox if/when they go deep in the playoffs again? I feel they are pretty underrated itt, and not just by Vic

agree that people sleep on orlando too much. it was somewhat warranted last year, but this year it's not and it's not luckboxing 3's when your team is built to shoot them

I mean, I don't get clips like this honestly. How do people get so excited about dunks like that? I mean Rose is not really dunking over anybody in this clip-- dragic comes at the last second, he has no shot to stop anything, Rose from the time he catches it has a basically 99.9% clear path for the dunk. How is it excitign that at the last possible secodn Dragic steps in to get in his way? That's not exciting at all

but the commentary is obv hilarious

Helluva game. Both teams played hard. My reaction to Kobe's shot was immortalized on nbatv. 3.5 hrs of sleep, then Sacto.

Case in point. The title "Derrick Rose dunks over Deron" is sorta misleading....... I mean.......this dunk is not exciting-- Deron didn't really dunk over anybody, he had a clear path to the dunk setup by whoever the other guy on Utah is and Rose just tries to step in at the last possible second just so his coach doesn't yell at him for not trying to stop a dunk that is 99.99999% going to go in.

Yeah. Nobody blocks that dunk. It is super unimpressive. The announcer acts like he just had the greatest orgasm in the history of mankind. Maybe he did. It was awkward.

KC,

While meaningless, my rec team did just this after a team hit a game leading shot with approx 10 sec to play and *after* I had hit a team mate for a potential game winner inbound pass bomb/layin the refs stopped/reversed play because the other team's time keeper (one team does book, one team does clock) had stopped the clock on the inbounds play. (Running time FTL).

So it's not like it's un-intuitive for 30yr olds who've been playing on the same team for 5+ yrs to do it.

We did end up winning in OT, so, cool story bro!

it's a pretty aggressive move for a random lurker. I applaud it. cool story, aces.

and an addendum to my point: it's correct even with timeouts left. Hell, it's probably better there, as it'd be less expected.
