yeah i had that backwards. that's weird b/c i had originally typed nash is too important to their offense.

edit: wait no, i had what i meant. was saying that the suns win more games w/o amare. nash's name got cut out of the 2nd sentence

ah. yeah, basically the suns without nash are worse then the suns without amare

fwiw, all of my questions were actually valid. i guess i'm arguing that wade is worth more to his team that everyone else combined. also i have no idea how the blazers - roy vs. celtics - rondo could be a jokke

so nash > amare for the suns? words are weird

last year the heat were 20th and 11th in offensive and defensive efficiency, respectively. they would almost certainly be last in both would wade + amherst

roy is much better and much more important to his team than rondo. idk how you could think otherwise

Spent many of my UMass days convincing the Mount Holy girls I was attending Amherst.

I disagree with everyone that Nash is more important than Amar'e at this point.

I think that's actually way harder to answer, cause I genuinely believe that the Blazers wouldn't become that much worse w/o Roy as they have a starting SG as backup. I think loosing LMA would be a harder blow to the blazers even if Roy is clearly their best player.

This is obvious to anyone that isn't a Celtics fan.

when i said that replacement refs sucked I want to make it clear that the old ref's sucked as well. I also think it's pretty clear that basketball is the hardest major sport to officiate so it's not all there fault, although for guys paid to be pro ref's for there jobs they should be better.

How do people end up being pro refs? I've always been curious what the whole process is for that.

also nash >> amare and roy >>>>> rondo

nash and amare are easily both in my top 10 of favorite players in the nba yet i don't really like the suns....prob tuq sucking turned me off

I would assume that you just "move up the ranks" from the various collegiate levels to the pros. Like so many other things though, I'm sure much of it has to do with knowing the right people to get a shot.

did you see how good the suns' offense was this past season even after amare went out? there's no way they are that good w/o nash even w/amare and amare doesn't do much defensively.

aldridge's shots are far easier to replace than roy's shots b/c they are fewer in # and are assisted more often

edit: i think nash was way overrated 4 or 5 years ago and has become underrated now

When were they good with Amar'e out?

their offense? the entire time

I guess, but that doesn't mean they'd win more games with Nash out then with Amar'e out. Amar'e is getting underrated here. It wasn't that long ago he was a unanimous top ten player in the league.

i agree that amare is underrated on here but nash is still better

Also, they had Shaq last year when Amar'e went down. If he went down this year, they'd be really screwed.

he is probably a detriment defensively so if you don't think he makes them as good or better than nash on offense, which i don't, then it does mean they win more games w/him out

i've never considered him a top 10 player in the nba and i didn't realize anyone did.

edit: detriment at a more important defensive position

i agree, but believe that they would be more screwed if nash got hurt. the bolded is a mark against amare btw.
