Nah, the difference is most fans love to build their favorite players up as something more than they are, I just recognize that most players are likely dickholes . Athlete+lots of money+everything handed to him+everyone telling him how good he is=douchebag.

Don't worry, some of your Hawks are definitely toolbags.

Repairs would cost about half of the cars value (assuming this car hadn't had body damage from being run off the road in bum**** Ohio, or getting hit by hail, or had a gigantic dent from some crooked **** in a parking lot.)

So, I guess I'm getting a new car for xmas.
what kinda car, year make model?

this, young guys who are picked high in the draft and who are not good right away are the ones who can and a good amount of the time improve the most, the ones who come in and play very well/great usually are the ones who see minimal improvement and even sometimes regress.

I'm biased against Bibby just because of his Sac town days, I like Horford/JJ though. I actually like the Hawks in general.

I feel like it'll be Lebron or Kobe, with it only being Kobe if the Lakers win some absurd amount of games.

Yea I can't really argue with this at all, I have a mancrush on both, and that's saying alot considering how much I HATE the Suns.

I'm thinking this too. Chris Paul should obviously be a candidate but won't be.

I really don't care about athletes off the court stuff. It's in regards to his basketball career I think Kobe is a toolsack. Most athletes I'm sure kinda suck off the court.

But I grew up near Charlotte and him REFUSING to play there was just pretty offputting. Play on the ****ing team that drafts you, you goddamn baby.

His whole career just screams crybaby to me.

What he does or did off the court is just joke fodder that I could care less about

and what would you think of kobe if the lakers had honored his request and traded him

Eh, you def have a point, but I think it's worth noting that he was 17 years old when he did that.

Honestly, anyone I've ever met was a douchebag at that age, including myself, throw in the fact that he was a 17 year old kid with everyone jocking him, and it kind of makes sense. Kind of like Lebron getting that cringeworthy "CHOSEN ONE" tattoo across his back in HS. I'd be willing to bet Kobe now isn't that bad.

Agree, I would have given it to Paul over Kobe in 08 tbh.

Tuq,

Things are looking up for the Border Patrol! Be prepared for stupid offers of 2nd round picks for Bayless coming your way. Barbier is always on patrol.

Hating Kobe is incredibly easy. Literally everything he's done his whole life douchey.

1) Demanding to play in LA, despite being from Philly and being a late lottery pick
2) General ballhog style of play
3) Conflict with Shaq
4) Demands to be traded after Shaq left
5) Doin' Work
6) RAPED A WOMAN

That's he's terribly overrated by the media is douch icing on the douchecake.

I wouldn't mind if Kobe stole the MVP this year. I know LeBron is the best player but I'm a homer and I like watching this 09/10 Kobe more than any other version. He's finally playing great defense for 48 minutes. It's showing in the stats too. I don't know if its Artest motivating him and shouldering some of the burden, or if its the refined post game leaving more stamina in his legs, but he's nasty on D right now - help D and 1v1.

a few more miracle buzzer beaters should do the trick imo.
