it's really bizarre how slow rose's agility time is for someone w/his 3/4 sprint time. almost seems like it could be a typo

I don't disagree that it's plausible, I just don't know and don't have any basis for knowing. Nor do I think anyone else does.

I actually had a similar debate come up the last week or so. I had a friend from HS who played on Michigan's football team. Was a big-time recruit, top-level athleticism even when he got to Michigan. His brother's now a freshman in high school and everyone in my hometown is talking about how his brother's a better athlete than him. I tell those people the same thing. It may happen, it may not, but there's just no basis in claiming it at all.

It's kind of awesome how Jason Kidd throws a 6 foot PG alley oops with total confidence.

I wish Jose did something like that or anything besides dribbling for 10 seconds then passing to Bosh.

If you could be GM for your team and make one decision for the remainder of this year, what would it be?

I think for the Hawks it would be to find a decent to good defensive big back-up who isn't a black hole offensively like Collins. Someone suggest Dalembert, but he certainly will cost more than he's worth.

Kurt Thomas would be a good one.

No argument that he is better than JJ, but I still don't understand the volume of hate from people.

Trade Kwame Brown for a Happy Meal. Or release him. Less Kwame = More Maxiell

As Danny Ainge, I would have the trainer spike the water bottles with mild doses of antipressants. Maybe always playing the bad guy is good in some ways but I think the team's rotten attitude will possibly **** them in the playoffs.

I have no concerns with this team from a basketball standpoint (other than the relatively mild issues of BBD getting too many of Shelden's minutes and TA/Scal getting any minutes at all).

Their only real problem is that they let the officiating get to them and ruin the team's flow. It's been an issue in all of their losses. The constant bitching and the faces and the confrontational attitude has to be -EV. Just play ball; the refs will respect you more.

I'd imagine that officiating attracts similar personalities as cops and, even if you're a good guy going in, you'll still occasionally get infected by that cop attitude. These guys hand out Ts for giggles and Rasheed/Perk/KG/Rondo/Pierce/BBD/Eddie must make it downright pleasurable. Who's more fun (outside of AI) to T up than that group?

Even if that happens, though, it looks like there was a serious flaw with what I said in October. It appears I seriously under-estimated the importance of injuries. Essentially I looked at what each team would achieve if everyone stayed healthy. But of course injuries are going to happen. Hence, 2009-10 may not be the year of the Super Team. Yes, I think – after just 20% of the season has been played — I was wrong.
JFC Berri.

"There will be injuries during an NBA season."
"You think so, doctor?"

This C-Vig/mjw argument is awesome because mjw is pulling out the you can't claim something because you can't prove it argument that C-Vig himself was just pulling the other day.

We'll send you Kurt Thomas if you're willing to take on Michael Redd's contract somehow.

id pay eddy curry $30 million under the table to retire and take his contract off the books. Then Id sign LeBron and Bosh. Whats the worst that can happen? they take our draft picks? BFD we're used to having no first round picks

Bucks are gonna get rid of Redd's contract, free up cap space and then sign Lebron cuz obviously Lebron wants to play with Brandon Jennings.

On the Rose argument I'm a little disappointed with his play this year after seeing what he was capable of in the playoffs last year against the Celts.

Speaking of the Celts how do you think they'll do tonight in San Antonio against the Spurs? Should be a good game imo.

Spurs are in a very strange situation.

What do you do with Ginobli at the end of this season? What deal should he be offered? What should they offer him? Which of the expiring should they throw extensions at?

Is it at the point now where regardless of how smart the team plays the offseason, the team just digresses as Timmay does?
