at first you say "prince>childress", but then you go on to say that Prince is overrated A TON while Childress is WILDLY underrated?

maybe my adjectives are a bit severe, but there's no reason to think the two statements contradict one another.

if people think price >>>> childress, but price > childress, his statement is true.

Premise:

x > y (x is Prince, y is Josh)

Possible compatible inequality:

a > x > y > b

Where a, b are Tayshaun's and Childress's respective NBA quality reputations (constants).

i'll take jack of arcades explanation... because i didn't have to read it more than once... way to be a nerd that can' communicate tho
07-25-2008 , 07:41 PM
i stand by Childress > Prince. Tayshaun is a great player/been around longer/much more known and a great "glue" guy. But the fact is JC is a more efficient player.
07-25-2008 , 07:44 PM
Tayshaun is prob overrated a bit from coming out of nowhere essentially to be a huge part of the Pistons team winning the championship that people didn't think could beat the Lakers. Childress is a guy you don't hear much about because of the team he's on. He's a very solid player similar to Tayshaun.

Vujacic re-signed with the lakers for 3 years 15 mil. I think thats pretty fair. Glad he didnt go to Europe
07-27-2008 , 07:40 PM
Biedrins signs 6 year, ~63 mil. Last year is a player option...He's still sort of an unknown quantity...if he doesn't improve at all it doesn't seem like a great deal, but if he gets better it could be a steal

And Gordon Bombay's head is safe for now.

6 yr, 63 mill is great for Biedrins in the current market

I understand that. That doesn't mean that it still wasn't confusing.

"I think Kobe Bryant should've been MVP this year because Lebron James statistically put up one of the greatest seasons of my lifetime."

Both statements are true, but its still a confusing sentence, no?
07-28-2008 , 06:56 PM
yeah but my sentence wasn't nearly as ******ed. Your cause/effects aren't at all related. That'd get you an F in logic class. My sentence was in direct response to "prince>>>>childress". "prince>childress, and here's why the gap is much smaller than you think". Not a sentence Twain would be very proud of, but logically it made perfect sense.
07-28-2008 , 07:40 PM
Kid,

I had no problem with your sentence whatsoever.

He'll put up solid numbers in limited minutes, show some flashes, walk after this season, sign a big deal somewhere next year and gain 30 lbs and be out of the league at 28. kwame

Barbosa to the Cavs?

This would be so sweet.

This guy doesn't appear to be a very reputable source whatsoever.

ricky davis finally where he belongs in clipper-land.
07-28-2008 , 11:04 PM
good for Ricky!

Balkman to Denver: http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archiv...man_to_denver/

Makes sense as Balkman doesn't fit with D'Antoni. Denver gets Taurean Green, Bobby Jones, and an '10 second rounder. This is now Bobby's 7th team by the start of his 3rd season. I like Denver's side, to be honest.
07-28-2008 , 11:52 PM
Denver got a steal with Balkman
07-29-2008 , 12:07 AM
Knicks obv cutting Green and Jones since they have non-gtd contracts. I liked Balkman but I like Chandler alot more and think he fits into Stache's system better. Hope Balkman does well in Denver.
07-29-2008 , 12:32 AM
<<<< Really liking Denver's offseason thus far. Well, except for trading their crappy draft pick.
07-29-2008 , 02:04 AM
big man going to bolt overseas the other way this time.
