The only way something like that happens is if the 6ers add like 3 unprotected firsts in the mix to send to Sac

That would be 10 titles.

I actually dont want Giannis to pull a Durant. thats not really fun for anyone. it would proly hurt Lebrons legacy too but maybe not? I mean people were trying to say Durant>Lebron overall after he titled a few times in GS. ofc, those people are pure LEbron haters so lol them.

Bc they don't want Hield and want Horford.

I'm not saying it's logical, but it's also not made up just bc Kings.

I only read Lowe but from a quick googling this was the first proposed trade hypothesized for Hield.

Quote:
Philadelphia 76ers

Hield made waves this week after liking and commenting on an Instagram post linking him to the Philadephia 76ers.

From purely a basketball perspective, the fit makes sound sense.

Built around two stars in Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid who struggle with outside shooting, Hield would instantly become the team’s best high-volume three-point marksmen and potentially give the team’s offense a big-time boost.

Ranked in the 93rd percentile as a spot-up shooter this season, per Synergy Sports, Hield’s shooting prowess would open up a lot of doors for Simmons and Embiid to attack the basket, and his underrated ability to run the pick-and-roll (63rd percentile) could add a new dimension to the Sixers offense.

A deal with the framework of Hield and Jabari Parker (who is likely to opt into the final year of his deal which will pay him $6.5 million next year) for Al Horford (who has three years and $81 million left on his deal) and Josh Richardson (two years and $22.5 million left on his contract) would work financially, but would still require for Philadelphia to add draft capital (like their 2022 unprotected first-round pick) for Sacramento to be interested since Horford’s deal is looking like a major negative asset at this point.

Even so, with the promising Marvin Bagley playing the 4, Horford could slot in at the center position where he’s more comfortable these days and be not just a solid frontcourt complement for the young Duke product, but a good mentor for him as well. Plus, Richardson is the dynamic wing defender the Kings are missing and is on one of the most team-friendly deals for a starter-level talent in the league today.
I started from a position of moving CP3 but I guess it makes some sense to exclude him, he helps Philly more than Hield tho title-wise.

They get to retain Richardson in my hypo, but yeah maybe Kings don't do it. Their history says they would tho.

Per Shams Pacers to hire Raps assistant Nate Bjorkgren who is a real person and def not Nate McMillan in a wig.

I'd like to see CP3 in a 76ers uniform.

But isn't then Simmons kind of redundant? I like shipping him for SGA in a massive deal.

SGA is gonna be amazing.

What's the best trade Detroit can get for Blake Griffin? Do they take an all expiring poo poo platter just to get off the second year of the big contract while rebuilding?

Looks like Detroit may very well be saddled with him for the time being.

He has a player option for 21-22 which he will assuredly opt into.

All the teams who are going to be buyers for the 2021 FA Class won't want him. Rebuilding teams won't want him either.

SGA for Ben Simmons? You do realize if Simmons develops a jump shot he's Lebron James, right? Even now Ben Simmons is basically Giannis if you actually allowed him to lead the offense and he has shown this earlier in his career when Embid would get injured and he was still leading the 76ers to a top seed in the East being the only star. Simmons is the third most valuable asset/contract in the league next to Zion and Luka.

It's kind of hard for Simmons to develop a jump shot when he's too damn afraid to attempt any in the first place.

and SGA is incredibly special in his own right.

We're talking 6'5 with 6'11 wingspan.

Lest not we forget this performance:

Simmons is never going to develop a jumpshot but I do think he's very underrated. His defense is elite. He just needs to be a poor man's Lebron and have the offense built around him.

As a Sixers' fan I am kind of over the Simmons/Embiid pairing. It can work, but if they can get > 90 cents on the dollar for either I think they should do it.

Imagine Simmons and Paul.

Simmons playing a hybrid of Bron and Blake as a secondary creator basically solves all the issues of the Simmons/Embiid pairing.

You can have one non-shooter out there (still not ideal). Have Ben at the 4 but continue to have him work on his corner 3, that shot is somewhat redundant if he's the creator (the shot's not there for him) but next to Paul it's tits.

You could obviously stagger him with Paul too. Have Embiid and Paul on the court at all times together and have the Simmons' show in off-minutes.

Okay I can sign off on this. Good work Dodger.

I’d still rather trade Simmons for 90% on the dollar if the opportunity arose tho.

And so, more than one hundred months after they were first uttered, Anthony Davis finally fulfilled the great promise of those lofty Bill Russell comparisons. Like Russell, Davis now warps every game through his mere presence. Like Russell, Davis now throws off his opponent’s habits. Like Russell, Davis now adds exponential value to the scoreboard with his mere shadow.

But Davis did it in a sport that has become far more difficult for the Russell archetype. Russell dominated in an era where he could mostly chill near the basket. So did most of the big men that tried to mimic him. Davis, on the other hand, has found a way to create the same effect while floating anywhere on the court. He is the portable rim protector the modern game requires.

That’s why I’m comfortable ending this piece with my own bold statement. If Davis simply maintains his 2020 performance over the length of his prime, he, and not Russell, will become the new standard by which all of history’s great defenders are judged.

My reaction:

Spoiler:
Damn!
