Ya once I started actually seeing him shoot I threw Kevin Martin into the comp w/ Livingston. I really think he's a 2, in a starting lineup anyway.

I'd have to actually see what the #'s are after a decent ss tho, I'm not saying he's a good shooter but it's definitely plausible. He does shoot 3s off the dribble.

Kidd and Rubio are much closer comps, Ball isn't like either of them.

Agree, Ball is actually capable of making shots at age 19 unlike Kidd or Rubio

He has to get a with a shooting coach and work on his hop, from the core down. I've noticed him hopping forward, sideways and even a slight scissor kick a few times. Meaning there's been no consistency.

He looked most comfortable walking into the shot so far in SL.

Here's a decent trivia question game for TZ -

8 guys in NBA history have exceeded all 3 of these in their rookie years age 20 or earlier. Who are they?

First guess: Marbury

Woah, close.

5.0/72.7/.354 at 19

The ignorance it takes to believe yourself capable of projecting a player's career based on summer league is astounding, amusing, and apparently very common itt.

Some of us have actually talked about range of outcomes beyond floor of good starter and ceiling of GOAT.

He's the closest thing to an NBA Tebow regarding opinions.
07-14-2017 , 12:42 PM
Ray Allen?
07-14-2017 , 12:43 PM
Harden?

EDIT: nm read that wrong, thought it was > 36 and > 72

EDIT2: nevermind the nm, you did mean exceeded all of those, so Harden yo!

Talk to any nba guy and porter being this good is a massive shock. Exceptions don't prove rules.

Lillard?

eta: my bad, age

was just thinking through recent rookie years and forgot the age factor
07-14-2017 , 12:55 PM
Hoya,

It is.

Kyrie?
07-14-2017 , 12:56 PM
I didn't even notice the age qualifier.
07-14-2017 , 12:57 PM
Beal?
07-14-2017 , 12:58 PM
McGrady?
07-14-2017 , 12:59 PM
Baron Davis?

I assume Monta didn't shoot that well from 3.
07-14-2017 , 01:00 PM
Deron Williams and/or Chris Paul?
07-14-2017 , 01:00 PM
Kyrie, Harden, and Beal all correct.

TMac was 1.7 FTA, 34.1% 3P, 71% FT.

in SL it looked like ball really only had the time/space to shoot off the dribble going left. not sure he should be shooting off the dribble regardless, but most players shouldn't. even many good ones
07-14-2017 , 01:02 PM
Nash?
07-14-2017 , 01:02 PM
Ben Gordon?
07-14-2017 , 01:04 PM
Melo?
07-14-2017 , 01:04 PM
