17-3 for Brooklyn and @Charlotte tonight. Meanwhile Mil playing .500 ball after the hot start.

I don't think this is anything more than variance. It's just worth noting.

"Go look at my last 10, 15 games," LaVine said after the game. "I been feeling good."

In 14 games during December, LaVine is averaging 25.2 points on 53% shooting and 43.2% from 3.

It's a step up from LaVine's production to start the season, when he averaged 20.9 points on 40.7% shooting and 34.8% from 3 in 17 games during October/November.

PG is still great, but he's just no match for Haliburton and the new look Pacers. Sad

Hey McLovin, assuming this is legit, sell me on this?

I assume it's a salary dump for Fournier, but does Obi do anything besides lobs?

do you think the Knicks should trade for him if the Bulls decide to blow it up at the deadline? or if there's a possibility to acquire him around draft night?

He'd actually fit in quite well with Hali in an up tempo offense.

He also has been more effective from 3 (35.1% this season) and been willing to be more free offensively with smart movement/drives. If coached well he can be a pretty decent defender because he will definitely give effort on that end. You can also see about running him in some small ball lineups as a 5.

He's a bit of a project of course but he's definitely someone who I would bet on, especially playing alongside Hali who should unleash the potential he has hidden.

Overall I'd be sad to see him go. Bunch of people on RealGM Forum think he's not ready for a starting role so the Knicks shouldn't move on from Randle. But I say the Knicks ceiling is basically #6 seed as currently constructed, Randle doesn't contribute to winning in his current "leading man" role, so might as well sell high on him now and FREE OBI. Baptism by fire isn't always a bad thing... Sooner or later you gotta step out, step up and see what the **** you got!

edit: I truly believe he can be a capable defender with the right coaching because of his effort and the fact that he has a 7'2'' wing span on his 6'9'' frame. Plus his leaping ability should help naturally.

Just realized Obi was picked 8th in 2020, well ****, now it almost has to happen.

2020 draft:
10th-Jalen Smith
12th-Tyrese Haliburton
14th-Aaron Nesmith

8th fits the pattern perfectly.

Yuta Watanabe leads the NBA in 3pt% (per Rotoworld)

Is Ziare Williams ever going to get healthy? He's quietly a potentially important piece for MEM.

Depends on the cost. Probably not. The Bulls routinely overvalue their players and have wildly different valuations than other teams. I'd leave LaVine alone, not because I don't love his offense (when he's right) but because he's not a big/physical enough defender to keep from being exploited in later rounds.

He's why guys like Marcus Smart are so valuable. He'd fit in very well in Boston. I doubt this ever happens, but if they couldn't agree on an extension with Jaylen Brown, a Brown for LaVine and picks trade would make sense.

If I'm the Knicks I'm not trading Toppin. He's good. And his skill set should keep him on affordable contracts.

What's the meat part of the trade anyway? What will the Pacers give back?

The Knicks really don't need to "dump" Fournier's salary as he has a club option for 24-25 so by next season he's a $18.857M Expiring contract which surely can be more readily moved then if they so choose.

Fournier at $19M is still a useful bench player.

I have no idea. This kind of came out of left field, thats why I was asking. I have no idea what the Knicks need (other than a good player Hey-Ohhhh!).

The Pacers need 3/4 help and have too many guards so I assumed if it was to shed salary, it was probably just filler and a pick. If it wasn't, the maybe Duarte or something?

I read something that the Knicks may be looking to acquire another first round pick to utilize in a trade for a star player. i.e. the better of the Cavs/Boston first round pick.

Possibly Duarte and worse of the Cavs/Boston first round pick is another idea I read.

I seriously don't want Obi moved, so it's virtually guaranteed to happen. I want Randle moved. The Suns are without Booker for at least 4-5 weeks, they need someone to help carry the load. Randle would play just fine alongside CP3 and he can carry minutes on the 2nd unit as well.

Suns have zero need for Randle. Every dollar needs to go towards Cam Johnson's contract.

Will be wild if Jokic averages a triple double, shoots 60% from 2, Nugz are No. 1 seed and we see him earn another MVP.
