Lakers had a few chances to stretch it beyond 10, didn’t take it.

Such a weird experience to be watching this and convinced Golden State will just go on a crushing run and win. You know it’s coming.

Hot take. With Embid injured and The Buck out, AD is the best player in these playoffs.

Lebron down the stretch offensively played as bad as I've ever seen him play.

What odds are out there for AD getting finals MVP?

What a game!! Big haymaker down the stretch from GS as everyone expected, Lakers staggered but held on.

AD majestic, but great bench minutes for the Lakers again, Schroder was great.

The line for GS can be whatever you like. 1 - 1 going back to Staples.

Doesn’t look as if LeBron will move past that ankle injury before the finals and he won’t win Finals MVP in this form.

But they’ve a looooong way to go to get there!!!!

Golden State and Curry won last year and haven’t lost a western conference series since 2015. It’s okay to lean Lakers imo.

re lakers...think that's just a natural rooting for underdog thing if i don't have money on it....won on poole over pts, but took a took one on under 228..looked dead all game then got live late only to be snatched

re the game tho....other than the result obviously changing the probability of the series, I thought that game basically showed what we talked about ITT. The Lakers are just going to have a significantly more difficult time scoring than the Warriors late game in this series. LeBron is gonna have to hit that jumper late in a few of these games to get W's and just not sure it is there.

I like GS edge more now than I did 3 hours ago. Feels like this series is gonna be a grind though, bunch of old dudes playing every other day.

How do Warriors have an edge?

Lakers are bigger and 4 players on starting lineup can score. 5th player vanderbilt can shoot corner 3s.

Warriors have zero interior scoring and AD just locks the paint points out. No easy baskets there.

Vanderbilt is a 6'9 player that is guarding Steph.

Lakers barely defend Draymond Green and Looney is not an offensive threat.

Besides LeBron, the Lakers starting lineup is a bunch of 20 year olds with AD just turning 30.

Its shooting 50 threes a game and hitting 20+ or bust for warriors.

Warriors very well can win this series because they can shoot. But it ain't Warriors in 6. It would take Warriors in 7 in a complete brawl. Do they have what it takes? Dunno.

When I say bunch of old guys, 4 of the top 6 players in the series you would put in that category. Then AD is obviously susceptible to injury with this type of workload. When you have both teams burning the candle at both ends (no pun intended), just creates a level of variance that 1 could crash and burn. This series is all 1 day rest unlike Phx/Den Mia/NYK. And GS was just off a pretty hard fought 7 game series, LeBron is pacing and micromanaging himself by the minute already.

My question with the Lakers is just will they be able to score enough? Maybe LeBron can have a vintage game or two, but last night wasn't encouraging considering he had 3 days off (and that game was a blowout), think they definitely found something with Reaves/DLo attacking the Warrior guards in the 3rd Q, but will it be enough? DLo has his own issues staying on the court and obviously can only rely on Reaves so much.

If LeBron was even last year/early season level, I think GS would be pretty challenged to defend him with AD out there. But he's clearly diminished right now.

It'll be interesting to see how he shoots going forward because I think GS is getting close to giving him some form of the Dillon Brooks treatment. 6 for his last 37 from 3. If he does have a turn back the clock game, think it would probably be at crypto.com arena.

Not saying the Warriors aren't without issues of their own, but these series tend to come down to who is better equipped to win in the final 6-7 mins of the 4th Q unless 1 team dominates the other, and GS seems better equipped to do that as of right now. Ball in hands of Curry vs Bron/DLo 4th Q is a pretty big gap right now.

I thought Poole shot was stupid when it happened, but it is an open 3 within his range to tie the game. You don't really get good looks in those situations. Teams probably shoot around 25% on 3's to tie with under 15 seconds left. He moves closer to 3pt line maybe Dray doesn't have the passing angle to him.

Reminded me of the Butler 3 vs the Celts, just feels jarring to watch at first but then you realize after it was basically fine.

Lakers have been the best defensive team since trade deadline and that has been the case nearly every game.

Warriors are a small team and have to work extra hard to defend the rim. Looney is 6'9 and Green is 6'6. This will be a problem for the Warriors all series long.

It will take some multiple 40-50 point Curry and Klay games to win this series.

Warriors don't have the edge, not even close. They can still take the series because they are GOAT shooters.

LeBron has been really bad from 3. That's the only reason this game got close.

The only real unknown in the series is which AD shows up. If that dude can find some consistency than Lakers in six. Otherwise coin flip but warriors in seven.
