miles plumlee is basically the definition of replaceable
07-18-2016 , 08:44 PM
When I 1st read the Miles Plumlee signing on ESPN I thought it said 4/$32m & my thought was, yeah, that seems approximately fine/whatever.

Locking in a bunch of replacement level players to significant portions of your cap on long term deals is never going to be the solution to anything, no matter how much the cap jumped.

8th man money LOL. He makes ~1/8 of the cap and he totally sucks. I thought it was Mason at first n was like SNAP MATCH FROM PORTLAND but itz the crappy mason. Lol nba. This cap jump is like the worst thing in sports. NBA attendance is going to PLUMMET this year

The Samsung Summer League MVP trophy cost ~$18.99 at the sporting goods store. What a joke.

Valentine traveled quite egregiously.

No worries. They'll be hanging another division champs banner before you know it! Plus they still have the LeBron stopper.

so is ty lue/lebron a good coach? seems like they did a pretty good job in finals, dont remember thinking they were doing anything clearly wrong, while kerr was (varejao) ezeli in game 7.....

also TT contract seems not bad considering how well he played finals and offers big guys got this year. never thought id think that

celts second best chance to represent the east in second by decent margain(by odds and eye test)

1. cavs
2. celts
3. hornets
4. pacers
5. hawks
6. pistons
7. raptors
8. knicks

i think raptors have a fall to reality and bulls start bad and dump jimmy butler to celts by deadline. unless another team beats them to dumping... which some teams obviously should (cousins, westbrook)

1. warriors
2. clippers
3. spurs
4. grizz
5. rockets
6. jazz
7. twolves
8. OKC

i think blazers did better than they should. dont think they have that good of a coach either. i think okc trades westbrook, but they still should have a playoff team. lot of teams fighting for 7th and 8th spot on both sides
07-19-2016 , 06:09 AM
OKC without Westbrook is..not a playoff team. They have two positive players and one of them, Adams, is the type who looks a lot better as a role player next to great players than he will when asked to expand his role.
07-19-2016 , 06:13 AM
Oladipo is clearly 'positive' c'mon. Agreed nowhere near a playoff team sans RWB.
07-19-2016 , 06:21 AM
ya guess it depends how many games okc has westbrook before trade.(if they even trade him). maybe kings or pelicans in 8th then

H-Bob posted a decent chunk before game 6 and 7 about how Kerr was playing into Cleveland's defense quite a bit by trying to run PNR's for curry with the guy that Lebron was guarding. He also suggested how they should try iso'ing more etc because it would allow space for Curry to operate. I don't have numbers in front of me but I remember otoh that in the first few games cleveland was doing a great job forcing the ball out of steph and klay's hands.

For me I think the jury is still out but I think you can state that he out coached kerr in the finals(like spoelstra did in miami with his adjustments vs the spurs). average/above average i guess.

Okc is barely a playoff team WITH Westbrook imo

This. If that list is saying okc playoffs post trading Westbrook no way that true imo.

Also, Charlotte 3?didn't they lose all their depth and not get better? I really like their team and Clifford but I don't see them improving this year

This too. Mavs likely better this year than last.

Portland also improved imo but they certainly overachieved last year

Watched a Iggy radio interview and he's talking about a player who always balls against GS and scores like 20pts/game. Says he's in the west they played him 4 times this year but he's terrible the other 78 games, doesn't want to say the name and I can't seem to think of one
07-19-2016 , 09:52 AM
Will Barton? JJ Barea?
