NBA Offseason 2016: Free Agency Begins NBA Offseason 2016: Free Agency Begins

I don't mind Paul Allen as an owner. He's a little weird (who wouldn't be with $30B or whatever he has), but he's owned POR forever, kept the team in town and is always willing to spend $.

Paul Allen seems pretty grate. Weird fits in perfectly with the city.

maybe I'm just an optimist, but I think that's an awful idea for GS. They should take great care in changing as little as possible in their offense after winning 73 freaking games.

curry-klay-iggy-durant-dray

Someone needs to make a youtube channel that just shows every second that lineup plays together

Will be interesting to see how they fill out their roster.

Really doubt they go the Heat route and just add every league minimum vet they can get their hands on.

Definitely need some size.

Westbrook > Durant > Steph
07-04-2016 , 07:23 PM
zaza to the warriors 1 year 2.9 m
07-04-2016 , 07:23 PM
Goddamnit, now the Woyas sniped Zaza. Of course everyone will want to go there now. I give up on this off season.
07-04-2016 , 07:25 PM
Zaza P to GSW for 2.9M (room exception I think?)
07-04-2016 , 07:27 PM
Having a big guy that can shoot is key. Picturing KAT on that team is the only way it could be better. The spacing is going to be ridiculous.
07-04-2016 , 07:27 PM
Thoughts on Zaza? Probably will be getting 25mpg for GS.

Good passer, rebounder but not much of a rim protector really.
07-04-2016 , 07:28 PM
Not sure if Zaza just wants to win or if he didn't get the memo about the cap rising but he could have probably easily signed a contract worth 20M+ somewhere else.

and he spent like crazy in the early 2000's so it's hard to begrudge him.

Toronto has the most faceless suits as owners. Ownership is split between 2 monster media companies and surprise, surprise, half the games are put on each media companies network so if you want to watch all of the games you need to have the highest tier cable package.

And we have never once paid the luxury tax (or possible we have once for a tiny amount). This is for a team that can charge $225 face value for 300 level seats in the first round of the playoffs.

So **** those guys.

What other routes can they go? I think that's all they can do.
http://www.spotrac.com/nba/golden-state-warriors/cap/

They have to renounce the rights to all of their cap holds save for about $3.9MM and then can only sign guys for the min after that/ or $4MM and then the min

edit: with signing Zaza, they now can only sign guys for the min. Unfortunately, he's pretty good and gives them the size they need. David West is next for the min

**** this. I don't even know what to root for with the Hawks now.

Like, SAS needs to clear some space for Gasol so fine we could trade Mike Scott ($3.3M non-guaranteed) and a 2nd rounder for Boris Diaw but who gives a **** at this point. Why get a game or two better?

to be fair, this would also be a valid post without KD joining the woyas

^ If you're in the East it's not the end of the world. I feel bad for fans of teams like the Grizz, Portland, Spurs, Wolves, Jazz, etc.

Since when do bible thumpers get their asses eaten

Pretty great contract for what they need - a big body that can eat 20 mpg in the regular season without being horrible.

If you had asked me to guess Pachulia's age o/u 33 I would've slammed the over, how is he only 32?
07-04-2016 , 07:34 PM
Zaza is one of the guys I hate most, super dirty and pretty good at the same time

Durant staying on in OKC is a better team than Durant tacked onto Warriors. He must be sick of Russ because OKC would have crushed GSW this next playoffs.. and OKC w/KD match up better with Cavs. GSW were exposed in the playoffs by OKC and CLE... they can't handle athletes with size in a 7 game series... and the answer for them is to add even more scoring?!

Russ will MVP

GSW still vulnerable to being dominated by bigger athletes... OKC/CLE can still upset them

Zaza is a ridiculous signing at that price.

I like how his name is close to a perfume but you know the guy has the worst scent in the league.
07-04-2016 , 07:38 PM
Zaza is going to turn the moving screen into an art form with the ref cooking GSW+KD will get.
