Most starting NBA pgs ceiling is as a backup on another team. Ceilings they are fixed, like stone.
Starter on the 2014 Lakers doesn't count. Team was basically a joke. Langston Galloway and MCW were starters for a lot of last year. I think Clarkson is better than those guys, but you get the idea.
In all likelihood, on a good team his ideal role would be guard off bench. Don't see any contenders with Jordan Clarkson as your full time PG. If he significantly improves (which is possible, just super unlikely) he may one day be the 16th best PG in the league or something. The potential just isn't there, sorry LakerFan.
I'm not saying Clarkson is bad, he's a nice piece and obviously great value as a 2nd rounder. Saying he could ever be an elite guard is lol though. He has a better chance at growing wings and flying
