You know, like Obama's approval is 46% last week according to Gallup, so I'll whip up a poll that says it's 44% now, that seems reasonable.

Could you do the same thing as a NBA basketball reporter just by posting **** a few seconds after Woj?
link to him busting them? that's unreal

Bron going back to the Cavs makes the NBA roughly 62% more fun next year. I'm not sure if I'll be able to contain my excitement if the Spurs/LeCavs meet in the finals next year.

cavs whiffing on lebron and throwing tons of money at ariza would be too perfect

rondo's value isn't through the roof since he only has 1 year, but his value is still distinctly positive given his star reputation as compared to the reasonable price. given that he's also a good fit for indy and they seem lukewarm on keeping lance, it stands to reason that they are likely to value rondo more.

so i don't think the pacers add much, but there is a 0% chance that the celtics add to their side. in all likelihood the pacers would kick in a late 1st or they make the swap straight up.

that said i do agree that the c's aren't going to do better than that in a rondo deal bc i think lance's market value is way too low right now. but he's trading on market value not real value and that's the key point here.
Yeah that is true Indy is gonna likely just lose Lance for nothing if they don't do that deal. No other S&Ts make a ton of sense and nobody nearly as good as Rondo. Even if Rondo leaves after the year they pretty much paid him 1yr of what they were gonna pay Lance.

That is a win/win trade for both teams..send it in if the C's can get Lance for like 4/50

Smart/Lance backcourt tons of WIM

Sources indicate the Cavs are also in pursuit of free agent James Jones, who can stretch the floor--& just happens to be LeBron favorite.

how awesome would it be if all the random lebron stalker stuff hinting at him returning to cleveland was an organized, elaborate joke someone was playing on the entire state of ohio?

I really like Rondo on the Pacers for them, but wouldn't getting Lance be a little too good of a team for them? You gotta fall into the top 5 at least one to take a shot at a star for a rebuild imo.

Would be hilarious imo and I live in CLE.

Look, as long as they don't trade Wiggins for Love and then Lebron leaves us at the altar it was a fun sweat.

You mean Lance too good to tank? That is a fair point, I just feel like given he is 23, the potential and he is undervalued right now because teams think he is F'n nuts that it is a worthwhile move to make.

Obviously there are risks/issues with trying to go with what we can now call The Hinkie Model. Doesn't seem like Ainge/Stevens MO either...

5dimes has lebron -275 to sign with the cavs and +190 for anyone else

i still can't get over the fact that gilbert uses comic sans for everything. i would question the judgement of anyone who does. like if a super qualified perfect prospective employee typed up their resume in comic sans it'd go in the shredder.

also this thread is reaching wolfblitzer malaysian airlines levels of speculation

Yes, and I suppose you run out Zeller-Kelly-Green-Lance-Smart, get seen as a team on the rise, easier to attract FAs for the short turnaround.

i'd def take lance at 4/50 to be sure, but i suspect ainge is interested bc he smells an opportunity to get him for an even bigger discount, smthg like 4 yrs in the 40-44 range.

i'd love a smart/lance/avery 3 way guard rotation. that's so much defensive goodness in the backcourt. although signing lance for 4/44 makes avery for 4/32 feel extra silly and he may end up getting shipped before long. the lance/smart backcourt is just too much fun.

thought Pop was retiring when Duncan did. Does this mean Timmy has another 4-5 years in the tank?
